I finally got around to change my site's layout, the new one is much easier to maintain.

>>> Whispers <<<

I only checked it with Firefox and Internet Explorer, but it should work with other browsers too, it's really quite simple. Also, reading some of my older stuff makes me cringe. D: Thank God I had already taken down the very first fanfics I wrote, those were truly awful. And while I was checking to see if everything worked, I found stories I had completely forgotten. I was like "Um, when did I write this?" I can't believe I've been writing fanfiction for 11 years. I haven't written/drawn much lately, but still. 11 years.

I still have a cough and I guess I'll be stuck with it for another week at least, judging from past experience. And it doesn't help that the air around here isn't exactly mountain fresh, when we were driving home from the airport the other day I thought I was going to suffocate, I'm not used to Milan's smog anymore after spending 2 weeks at the seaside.

The big bruise of doom is slowly getting better, but it's going to take a while for it to fade completely.

What else? I feel like drawing, I'll go read something and look for inspiration...
gothikmaus: (Wayne/Olsen - Das muss Liebe sein)
Had a great night at Wayne's gig yesterday. The concert was at Magnet Club, which is going to move from Prenzlberg to Kreuzberg in a couple of weeks. I had already been there to see The Crash in summer 2004 (my GOD, that's almost 6 years ago :O ) and in my mind it was bigger. Oh, well. Duncan Townsend, the opening act, was hilarious. He kept making jokes in German (see Wayne? Brits can speak German if they try) and the audience loved him.

As for Wayne's concert, I can confirm what [livejournal.com profile] flaschengeist already said: that bloke makes the weirdest faces when he sings. He kept saying they were in a hurry as a punk band was supposed to play after them and made random jokes about Achim (who totally is Rod's secret son, come on) being like a flower: he looks nice, smells nice, but no one knows why he's there. Poor thing. Later, after the umpteenth joke, he said "OK, maybe I went too far? Aww, come here." And hugged him. But, as they were both quite sweaty, they both made disgusted faces. XD

The girl playing in the film "Die Tür" was also there and Wayne called her on stage. He started talking in English to her, but she couldn't understand him, so he knelt down and spoke German. See Wayne, that wasn't too difficult, was it? There was also this inside joke of Wayne greeting the keyboards before playing ("Hello, piano") and a few others I can't remember.

During the encore Lula sang "Smashup", which is a song I actually quite like, probably because she sings it a couple of octaves lower than her usual. :P She said she was "total erkältet" and looked... quite drunk, honestly. I don't know if that was just a stage act, as she looked absolutely normal after the concert.

Afterwards I could only talk very briefly to him, as people kept calling him and he constantly had to go and greet people here and there, but at the end I managed to get an autograph for a friend of mine who couldn't make it to the gig. He asked me if it was one of my musician friends and I said that yes, that was him; I told him they won a contest and are about to shoot a video and he asked me to send him the link when it's done.

After that I hung about for a bit, but the punk band that was supposed to play at 11 was taking its sweet time (I left after midnight and they hadn't started yet) and I didn't really like the music they played in the "Rockbar" part of the club, but maybe it was simply too early and that was just warm-up music; the bar was full of teenagers anyway, so I left.

On the way home I got an SMS from my friend, who was all excited about his authographed CD and I just had to grin when I read it. A random guy walked by just then and said "Nice smile!" Er. Thanks? XD

Now I'm going to finish touching up my friends' photos so I can finally send them. The poor guys have been waiting for them for two weeks now. Also, I finally put some of my pics online, they're here if you're interested:

My fanart site is finally online!

http://www.doitcomics.net/fanart

It still needs working but most of it should be OK. Let me know what you think of it! There's also a guestbook (that needs fixing too) if you have 2 minutes to waste. :)

I know I should move my arse and post the pictures from Frequency and Gampel, but some of them need photoshopping and I can't be bothered right now. Instead, I'm going to follow Itty's example and make an interest doodle meme!

Comment on this entry, I will choose 2 or more of the interests listed in your profile and doodle something related to them.

I can't guarantee when I'll post them though, I still have to study for my last exam now that I think about it...

I went to Lucky Music yesterday to have a look at the bass effects and pedals and fell in love with this Emily The Strange guitar. I would learn to play guitar just to have an excuse to buy it. If only money wasn't an issue...

Mum came back from the hospital this morning, the operation was longer than the doctors had anticipated but everything was fine.

My fanfiction site is back online!

http://www.doitcomics.net/whispers

It's not linked from the homepage at http://www.doitcomics.net, I've decided to keep it "hidden" for the moment. The whole fanart section is missing, I want to create a fanart gallery so that I'll have two different sites, one for fanfiction and one for fanart. But that will have to wait until I'm done with the music exam.

There are still a few shows to guess in the cult TV show meme! I've added a keyword to the ones left, come on guys, they're really easy! Quite old, yes, but very famous, my mum got the first one at the first try.

Also, my cat is a Bela fan.

Here's the proof. )
gothikmaus: (D'oh!)
When will the new DÄ fanclub start? Why, on the 1st April, of course. *shakes head* Oh, those guys...

I found this cartoon on a free newspaper outside university the other day, the person who drew it is my hero. The caption means: "The relation between Vatican and lay state."

So true )

PS Please, take a look at my webcomic and let me know what you think of it. Does the site work? Is there anything I should add/fix/change? Is it just plain awful? Tell me, please. Comment here or sign the guestbook, whatever you prefer. Please. Do I have to beg? *pouts*

gothikmaus: (Olsen - Yeah baby)
Yes, I'm still alive. After fighting for days against the guestbook (die ASP, die) I'm finally done:

Zu viel Alkohol backstage - A Bela B. y Los Helmstedt comic tribute

With a brand new comic-strip to celebrate! Please, take a look and let me know if there's anything not working or something that needs to be changed. There shouldn't be problems with Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox, but I don't have Netscape, I hope it works with it too. If everything's OK I'll send the link to Wayne and Danny too hehehe.

And while I'm talking about Los Helmstedt, BELA'S GONNA PLAY AT OPEN FLAIR IN AUGUST! YES! And the tickets are MUCH cheaper than RiP or RaR. Thank you very much to the lovely Almut for the link. :) They'll probably play at Taubertal andsomewhere else as well, but it's not sure yet. Oh, I can't wait, I can't wait! :D

Other than that I don't have much to say. Uni is OK, the course has 2 main specialisations, theatre and music, and most of the people are interested in theatre, which means less competition to find an interesting internship next autumn. Yesterday we had four hours music theory, only 2 people in the whole class understood what the professor was talking about and I was one of them. ^_^ I'm a mediocre musician and never spent much time studying theory, but damn, everything she was saying was so easy to understand, while the others were all lost when she was talking about polyphony or tonal chords. A girl even asked "What's a melody?" DUH.

Next week we, as in "the band", will record some songs! Just covers, because we only have one song of our own (*cough*Iwrotethelyrics*cough*), we'll make a demo and give it to a girl, if she likes it we'll have a little gig in May. *PANICS* Time to start practising. FOR REAL.
gothikmaus: (ROCK ON)
After thinking about it for a couple of weeks, I've finally got my own domain:

http://www.doitcomics.net

There's only the main page at the moment, it'll take me a while to upload everything. I'll probably start by getting Whispers back online, since everything's already coded and ready to be uploaded, I just need to get rid of some old pages and drawings.

Rehearsals were fun last night, the singer didn't turn up, so the guitarist and keyboardist spent most of the time trying to come up with a new arrangement for "Rain" by The Cult, while I played "Du willst mich küssen", "Erna P." and "Motherfucker 666" by DÄ and joked with the drummer. Also, I do like my hands, but it's hard to play bass with such thin fingers. That, and I never practice. Oops?

Aww, I've just got a postcard from a French friend of mine who went to the Curedrink in London at the beginning of February. I wanted to go too, but couldn't. *sigh* Hopefully next year.

And a meme, because I haven't done one in a long time and I'm bored. So there.

Meme under the cut )
gothikmaus: (Japan)
As the title of this entry says, I've finally started studying Japanese! :D I'm doing a conversation course, at the moment we're just learning sentences like "Hi, my name is...", "How old are you?" "I'm ... years old", very simple stuff, but I'm so excited! Sugoi desu ne! :D (Which means: "So cool!" ^_^)

I'm not often online these days, I started the master's last Monday and would use the uni lab, but they haven't activated my account yet, so I'm stuck with my slow dial-up connection at home. Also, I was about to strangle the prof when she said "If you listen to a violin in real life and try to record it, the sound you get is different, but with amplified instruments (electric guitars, basses etc) the recorded sound is identical to the real sound, so if you go to a pop concert the sound is the same as the one on the CD." WHAT??? :O

Talking about the internet, I don't have a site at the moment, my old one got deleted along with all the other sites hosted at arithmancy.net (RIP), I have some free webspace I could use, but I'm thinking of buying a domain and creating a portal for all my stuff, such as the DoitComics project, the Los Helmstedt comics and, of course, my fanfiction and fanart. And eventually adding other little projects if I have the time and energy to do them. It will take some time getting it all back online, but hopefully I'll make it, I've already found a hosting service and decided the domain name, I just need to actually buy it.

I want to play "Du willst mich küssen" and "Erna P." because, damn, the bass lines of those two songs are just brilliant. *goes to tune bass*

But before I go, a little eye-candy. Oh, Bela...

Oh, Bela... )

Oh, and happy Carnival everyone. *throws confetti in the air*

Did I mention my site has a new layout? Probably not. I wanted to upload it at the end of June for its 6th anniversary, but I totally forgot. Anyway, I hope everything's working and there aren't broken links or anything.

Last night I went to see "Kyashan" with Vica and managed to go to the wrong cinema. *headdesk* The right one was about 300 m away, but I managed to miss the first 10 minutes. *sigh* Anyway, it was sooo Japanese, about half of the film was without dialogues. The photography, costumes and design in general were amazing, with this kind of retro-futuristic design that's typical of Japanese sci-fi manga and anime, some of it even reminded me of Lupin the Third and some other '70s series. We spotted a few references to western films, like "Metropolis" by Fritz Lang and "2001 - A space odyssey", while the photography and setting reminded me of "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" (which I haven't even seen, by the way). The story wasn't really clear though, also because we hadn't seen the original cartoon from the '70s, which may have helped. And the soundtrack was great, with some really cool rock pieces for the fights.

I should tidy up a bit, 'cos tomorrow my American relatives are coming over to dinner, but it's too hot to do anything. But I did do something useful, I made a back-up DVD with all my Ärzte music and video files, I've been putting it off for too long. I should make a back-up DVD for my pictures as well, but a lot of files are scattered here and there and I'm too lazy to put them all in the right folders at the moment.

And because I'm bored:

Nicked from [livejournal.com profile] putzich:
Go and pick out one of my userpics that is your favourite and explain why.
Then post in your own journal (if you want to).

Oh boy, I shouldn't be allowed into H&M stores. Really. I risked spending 100€ yesterday! O_O Luckily before going to pay I checked the total amount, I was like "What? No way I'm spending all that money on clothes!" So I decided I didn't really need a new jacket, even if it was soooo pretty. *sigh* But I did need new winter jeans, my old ones have holes in them and, while I do like worn out and ripped jeans, my boss wouldn't be too happy if I wore them to work. The ones I bought have loose legs, big pockets (YAY, pockets)... and are a size smaller than the old ones. o_O How come that when I was trying to lose weight I wasn't able to, while now I just drop one size without even trying? Not that I'm complaining, mind you... :P

While I was there I also got a belt (mmh, studs...) and a striped Ramones t-shirt. Oh, how I love striped shirts. H&M fall/winter collection is so rock'n'roll. *loves*

I also updated my site with my latest Ärzte and Richy Guitar fics and Ärzte fanart.

And I still need to finish "Three", dammit. I did write something, but I haven't written smut, and threesome smut, in a while, so I got a bit stuck. Sorry for keeping you waiting, people. *hangs head in shame*
gothikmaus: (Default)
Whew. I finally finished updating my site. *exhausted* I fixed the layout, so now it looks decent with Mozilla Firefox as well, and added my latest pictures and fics. I hadn't updated since last June. o_O

I wanted to upload everything yesterday afternoon, but I went out with a friend who needed help with some German translations and when I came home I was dead. Now I know everything about environment-friendly detergents, though. (www.ecover.de)

There were a few other people coming and going while we were translating and at one point I was reading aloud (Inhaltstoffe: pflanzliche Seife blablabla Zitronensäure blablabla pflanzlicher Dunftstoff blablabla) and a girl stopped by and asked me "But... Are you German?" And I was like "What? Of course not." O_O Why do people always assume I'm a foreigner? I mean, yes, I don't have a "typical Italian accent" (thank God), but I'm not that good. I can't even form a complete sentence without stuttering! Uhm, well, that happens when I'm talking in Italian as well though, so perhaps people think Italian isn't my main language either? What the hell...

Anyway, as a reward for my hard work *cough* I'll post these 3 adorable pictures. Straight from the Abreißkalender at Bademeister.com. :)

BelaFarinRod. Aren't they sweet? )
