All right, I'm officially addicted to True Blood. If I start to analyse it too much, I see the plot is just like any other vampire story (vampire meets mortal girl, they fall in love blahblahblah), but I love it anyway.
Also, you American people on my flist: is Louisiana really like that? I mean, a friend of mine told me once that she met an American girl from NYC and, somehow, they ended up talking about Britney Spears, of all things. And the American girl said something along the lines of "Oh, what did you expect from her, she's from Louisiana." I don't know much about this kind of stereotypes regarding various US states, but I'm quite interested, could anyone please enlighten me? Or point out a site or something where I could read more on the subject? Thanks.

Date: 2010-03-14 09:36 pm (UTC)I'm sure the series exaggerates the common stereotypes, but before watching it I had no idea which traits are considered "typical" of that area, so I thought "Whoa, so that's the perception people have of Louisiana." Which doesn't necessarily mean Louisiana is really like that, like it always happens with stereotypes in general. It's just something I find interesting.
