I've fallen a bit behind and skipped a couple of days (I'll try to go back and do those as well), but I'm still working on the Snowflake Challenge.

I've wanted to do a Mystrade version of the Microfic Meme for a while and this was the perfect motivation!

As I'm not very active in fandom these days and tend to read only a few trusted authors and a few pairings, I didn't know what to rec at first, so I focused on one of my favourite authors on AO3 and a DW community I've recently rediscovered.

A Christmas Carol by Mottlemoth (BBC Sherlock)
I found this fanfic by chance at the end of 2017 and it was love at first sight. A Mystrade version of a Christmas classic, with a lot of angst and a happy ending. Actually, the ending is a bit too much for me, but it's a Christmas story, so I'm willing to overlook the excessive sweetness.

Aziraphale and Crowley fanart by ? (Good Omens)
A lovely piece of fanart posted in the

go_exchange community and based on the following prompts: human!Crowley accidentally summoning an angel; Crowley experimenting with looks and clothes; Crowley being smaller than Aziraphale; wings. I like the style, the expressions on Aziraphale and Crowley's faces, the soft colours. I'm looking forward to finding out who the author is.

Three brilliant paintings of Madame Tracy, Aziraphale and Crowley, Hastur, Ligur, and Lurky. The style is so rich and detailed, I could stare at these pictures all day! Like for the previous rec, I can't wait to find out who the secret artist is, he/she is incredibly talented!

I can't believe it. That blasted Mystrade fic is FINISHED. It changed quite a bit over the years and the ending isn't exactly what I originally had in mind, but it's DONE. I might even write a smutty sequel but, seeing how long it took me to finish this, I wouldn't hold my breath.

I know I've mentioned it before, but I've been making progress with the Mystrade fic I've been working on for ages. I had to completely rethink a scene (my "favourite scene"), but it just wasn't working and I kept getting stuck there. With that big obstacle out of the way, I just need to stitch together the last scenes and that should be it. Fingers crossed.

Another big problem is that I'm never in the mood to do anything when I get home after work and I've been busy and/or not at home during the weekend, so that doesn't leave me much time to write. Hopefully I'll be able to finish and post it in the next few weeks. I can't believe I started writing this blasted fic just after The Abominable Bride! :O

OMG I may have found a flat! :O I don't have a definitive answer yet, but this may be it. Please, keep your fingers crossed for me!

Also, I've been working on that Mystrade fic I mentioned in a previous post. I'm just adding a few paragraphs a day, so I don't expect to finish it anytime soon, but hey, at least I'm writing, right? The Final Problem was such a gift for Mycroft fans and Mystrade shippers, I still can't quite believe it really happened. ♥♥♥
