gothikmaus: (Dein Vampyr)

I love School for vampires. It's the first time in ages I really like a TV show and it's aired twice a week around 7:35 AM, so I can watch it while I have breakfast. It's an Italian/German production and I love how most of the characters are homages to horror films characters: the count is obviously Dracula from Coppola's Dracula, Criptina is Lucy from the same film, Lenny is Riff Raff from Rocky Horror, Oxblood is Nosferatu, Stoker is a parody of Bela Lugosi's Dracula (and of course his name is a homage to Bram Stoker) and Gothetta is the typical goth girl stereotype ("Why is your cape ripped?" "I ripped it. It's fashion!" And the hairdo. The hairdo!) And Ashley. Ashley is pure genius! XD

Probably I'm out of luck, but I'll watch to see if someone imports it!

Well, the RAI group has an international channel you can watch in the US too (RAI International), but I have no idea what programmes they show, sorry.

You know, I actually found RAI in my cable listings! Though I don't think I see that show in the website's programs. Oh, well, I learned something, and maybe it'll become available online at some point!

You can see a short clip from the cartoon here:

It's in Italian (I suppose, the PC I'm using at the moment doesn't have any audio), but you can get an idea of how the show is. :)

Actually the audio was in English! And it makes me want to watch it even more. ^_^ What does that mean--is the show broadcast in English in places, you think?

Well, it's an international co-production (Italy/Germany), so I suppose they made an English version as well so it's easier to sell it abroad. I honestly don't know if it's ever going to be sold outside Europe though, we usually import shows from the USA, not the other way round...
