Finally. Here's the bodyswap fic for my trope_bingo card. Took me long enough. Pre-slash, rated PG for swearing, more humorous than slashy.

Just last night I was thinking that being single on Valentine's Day sucks and that I'm fed up of seeing ads with happy couples kissing and being lovey-dovey everywhere. But then this morning I saw this image prompt on the 1_million_words LJ comm and thought "F*ck it, I'm gonna write a Valentine's drabble for my flist!" Which turned into a double drabble, aren't you lucky.

"Is that a fondue set?" Danny asked, looking down at Steve.

Steve had spread out a blanket on the sand and was lying on his side on it, propped up on one elbow. In front of him, surrounded by plates holding several pieces of sliced fruit, was indeed a small fondue set.

"I found it in a cupboard this morning, it was still in the box. It must be a never used present."

"I see. And you thought having an impromptu fondue party on the beach would be a great idea. Because sand won't stick to the fruit or end up in the chocolate. No, really, it was a very smart move, I applaud you."

Steve smiled up at him and picked up a plump strawberry. He dipped it in the melted chocolate and brought it to his lips, catching a drop of chocolate on his tongue before it dripped onto his T-shirt. He then proceeded to bite into the fruit, moaning in a way that could only be described as obscene.

Danny swallowed. Smooth Dog McGarrett wasn't subtle at all, and someone would have to inform him of that one day, but at the moment Danny really didn't care.

Aaah, I'm enjoying my day off immensely. Sure, I checked my work email this morning because there are a couple of things that are still ongoing, but I forwared the important ones to my boss and the others can wait.

I was thinking of going to the Christmas market, but I didn't feel like facing the cold and the hordes of Christmas shoppers. So I slept in, had a waffle for breakfast and caught up with some online stuff this morning, so now all I have to do is finish two Christmas cards. I still need to buy a present for my friend S, my dad and my mum, but I know what to buy, so it shouldn't be a problem. Actually, I've already bought a present for my mum, but my dad didn't know what to get her, so I suggested the Hawaii Five-0 DVDs and kindly offered to buy them for him. I am so very generous. Can you believe they released Season 1 on DVD just a couple of months ago?! I wanted to buy it for my mum last Christmas but couldn't find the DVDs anywhere and then last summer I found out it hadn't been released for the Italian market yet! Oh, well, at least they're here now.

And while we're talking about H50 and Christmas, azziria got my card! I only sent it on Monday or Tuesday, I'm very impressed.

Plenkov is really trying hard to please us this year. And so far it's working extremely well.

I want to think the Halloween episode starts with this and ends with this.

It goes without saying that both pictures are from an unaired episode, so, technically, they contain spoilers.

PS I dressed us more or less like Grace once. But I was already in my twenties... >_>

The Steve/Danny drawing is finally done! \o/ I coloured it very quickly, I didn't have the energy to do anything else.

This is that H50 picture I was talking about. As some of you may have seen, rocsfan had pretty much the same idea a few days ago. I didn't know about her entry at first (I was walking to the office when inspiration struck) and hopefully no one will think I'm stealing other people's ideas. Since we all know how much Steve loves grenades, it was kind of inevitable that more than one person would get the same idea, right?

Just a quick post before I go to the usual editorial meeting. There's an H50 Drabble Challenge over at powrhug's journal and of course I had to go and write something. Drabbles FTW!

Steve knows Danny's up as soon as he breathes in, the fragrant aroma of coffee welcoming him back from his morning swim.

"Morning, sleepyhead."

Danny grunts something incomprehensible around a mouthful of malasada. Steve drops the towel on a chair and places a hand on the back of Danny's neck, making him jump.

"Go away, you're cold."

Steve grins and leans down to kiss him.

"Cold and salty," Danny mumbles against Steve's lips, but doesn't push him away.

"And you're warm and sweet," Steve says and licks the corner of Danny's mouth. "We make a good combination."

Danny snorts. "Goof."
