gothikmaus: (Berlin)
Yesterday I found out the Champions League finale will be on the 22nd May, that is, when my parents are in Berlin. We'll have to go somewhere to watch the match, as we don't have a TV at home and there's NO WAY my father is gonna miss such a final. My roommate and I went to a nice brewery not too far from our flat last night and found out they show football matches, so I'll probably take him there. We looked at a couple of Italian restaurants that shows football matches too, but I like the brewery more. I just hope it won't be full of Bayern München fans that night...

And I've been meaning to post this meme for a while. Man, I'll be back home by the time this is over... ._.

30 days music meme

Day 01. Your favourite song

It's always difficult to pick a "favourite song" as it tends to change pretty often, but at the moment it's definitely "Heroes" by David Bowie. I could've used it for the "song that reminds you of somewhere" line too, because it will always remind me of Berlin. ♥♥♥

Whoa, Inter won against Barcelona! We're gonna play the Champions League final against Bayern München! :O I guess wearing this shirt today worked:

Yes, our colours are black and blue. And I was wearing matching black and blue striped socks and earrings too. My dad would be proud of me. XD

À LA MAISON!!!

(Why, yes, I've just watched Italy vs France...)

CAMPIONI D'ITALIA! YES!!!

gothikmaus: (YAY!)
I didn't go celebrate last night because I had to study, but I'm very glad to announce that

WE WON THE ITALIAN FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP!!! *cheers*

CAMPIONI D'ITALIA!

There are still 5 matches to go, but there are 16 points between us and the second team, so the first place is all ours. Finally, after years of suffering and being made fun of by all the other teams, we won. The last time was 18 years ago and our best players were Matthäus, Klinsmann and Brehme. So yes, it WAS a long time ago. I admit I was sceptic at first and thought Rome was going to win this year, but we made it. Era ora! And of course I wore my black and blue shirt to go to university today. ^__^

I've finally sent the request to join the DÄ fanclub, I don't know if I'll have time to go to the bank and send the money tomorrow, otherwise I'll just do it on Friday. Which is also my dad's birthday, damn, I have to buy him a present! Luckily I already know what to get him and where.

I'm so tired, I wish this exam was over already. I'm nervous about it because music is my "field of interest" for this course and I don't want to cut a poor figure with the professor. And her exams are extremely long, up to 75 minutes! How am I supposed to talk about electronic music for 75 minutes? *panics*

It's bloody hot outside, so what do I do? I write a drabble on the theme "Snow", of course. I rule.

And I found the end of "Show", a Cure live I have on VHS, on Youtube.com

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzYRo8G5EWw

It's the very end of "A forest", when Simon goes crazy and plays like a madman. Poor dear, he was under a lot of stress back then, he even had a nervous breakdown. *huggles*

Damn, I need a Cure icon.

EDIT: a colleague told me Decathlon is selling football jerseys at 5 euros! Argh, the temptation... Speaking of football, isn't this pic the sweetest thing ever?

Aww... )
gothikmaus: (*pout*)
It's one of those days when I'm feeling apathetic and don't know why. And it's so bloody hot, I don't feel like doing anything. But hey, Bela finally put the video of "1. 2. 3." on his site! Yay naked Bela! XD

Anyway, here are some pictures from the 9th July, after Italy won the World Cup final. I wanted to post them yesterday but the internet connection kept coming and going, Photobucket didn't work and I had 8794237 million things to do. You can find all of them here:

A few of my favourites:

OOOLEEEEE! )

And a short video, because photos alone couldn't describe what was going on around us.

Driving through mayhem. You can barely hear Stefano's comments over the noise.

Refresh the page if it doesn't show up the first time, Photobucket is being a bastard today too.

CAMPIONI DEL MONDO!!!

What a night! I swear I've never seen so many people in the streets, singing, dancing, drivers hooting, flags everywhere. I got home at 4 am and there were still cars around. Everyone was singing the bassline of "Seven Nation Army" by The White Stripes, which became the unofficial anthem of the World Cup, because it was the opening theme of the daily football special on RAI1. While the opening theme of the football show on LA7 was "99 Luftballons" by Nena, which became my own personal Ohrwurm in the last two weeks. I took a lot of pictures and did 2 short videos, but I'll upload them tomorrow, I didn't go to work today (thank God, I couldn't have woken up at 7 am this morning) and my internet connection is too slow.

We didn't go to the Arena in the end, because some people who were already there told us you couldn't see a thing, so we went to a friend of a friend's place, this guy connected his computer to a projector and we saw the match on the wall, like a big cinema screen, really cool.

When Zidane scored the first goal we were all so frustrated, the referee shouldn't have given that penalty kick at all, but when Materazzi scored we were all ecstatic. The second half was pretty much crap and so did the extra time, we were all so tense and afraid the French would score. And what Zidane did was so shitty! Materazzi isn't properly a gentleman when it comes to play football (I know, he plays in my team *g*), but a player like Zidane should have kept his cool, not matter what Materazzi said. The match was almost over, his gesture was inexcusable.

During the penalty kicks we were all holding hands, it was such a relief when it was finally over. We watched the cup-giving and then went out. The streets were in a frenzy, cars, scooters, people on foot, it was incredible. We went to the castle by car, some friends of my friend Emma's were in the car in front of us sitting in the boot and they weren't the only ones. Then we went to piazza Duomo on foot and it was amazing, people sitting on the statues, cars and scooters painted green, red and white, there was even a guy with a trumpet playing the Seven Nation Army bass riff.

We needed this. After the football scandal in June we needed something to believe that even if clubs and managers are corrupted, we still have players that want to play and can win.

GRAZIE RAGAZZI!

Pictures and videos tomorrow!

*yawn*

I'm so, so tired. I went to a barbecue with my colleagues yesterday and got back home at 2 am, I was drained from spending the whole afternoon in the sun. Well, I tried to stay in the shade, but sitting with my feet in the swimming pool felt so nice, even if it was in the sun. Yes, this colleague of mine has a swimming pool in his garden. Damn him. And I swear I've never eaten so much meat in my life. Good for my anaemia, I suppose.

I wanted to watch the World Cup semifinal last night, but in the end we didn't. Congrats to Germany! And tonight's the final! I'm going to watch it with some friends, we're going to the Arena in Milan, one of the places where they put huge screens to watch the matches, the biggest one is in Piazza Duomo, but it's going to be a mess there, so we chose the Arena, which is still close to the centre, just behind the castle. I'm sure there will be thousands of people, I'm bringing my camera and taking pictures.

Also, I find it interesting that the two teams have similar nicknames, Bleus vs Azzurri. Yes, I know I'm a language geek, shut up.

FORZA AZZURRI!
gothikmaus: (The eyebrow of DOOM!)
Joke of the day: "Who ordered 2 pizzas for the German team?"

*hides*

No, really, I'm sorry for my German friends and Klinsmann was my favourite player when I was a kid, he was part of the German golden trio (with Matthäus and Brehme) that played in the team I support (Inter) when we won the Italian championship for the last time (in 1989 *sigh*), but right now I can't help being a little silly. I didn't trust our team at the start of the World Cup, I thought we would come back home after the first 3 matches, but damn, did they surprise me. Sure, they did nothing extraordinary, but who did? Look at Argentina, they had started off so well. Look at Brazil.

Now I'll just act like a typical superstitious Italian and keep my fingers crossed. Because if we made it to the final it means we're not that bad after all, but you never know...

EDIT: For the '80s kids out there: Truly outrageous! Oh, how I loved Jem, I think my love for pink hair comes from her. Yep, definitely.
gothikmaus: (YAY!)
SIAMO IN FINALEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

And a big "Pizza Arrivederci" for the Bild journalists who wanted to "noodle us away". Ciao ciao, stronzi.

PS The insult goes only to those journalists, not to the German people on my flist, of course.
