God, I've finally finished this damned Richy Guitar fanfic. It took me over a year but I'm really quite happy with it. Watching the film I've always thought Igor was flamingly gay and hopelessly in love with Richard, but I wanted to write something different.

The title is kinda lame, but I've already used the one I originally wanted to use. Crap.

Oh my, Motherfucker 666 must be one of the easiest songs to play on bass. I hadn't played in a looong time *guilty look* and wanted to try an Ärzte song. I like the bass part of Motherfucker 666 and it sounded quite easy, so I decided to give it a try. I found the guitar tabs online and thought "OK, I have the chords, let's see if I can work out the bass lines." I was shocked when I realised that the verse parts were all basic 3-notes chords! Eeeh!

You see, I only had bass lessons for 6 months or so (I had studied piano before, but that was a loooong time ago :P ), then I had to stop and went on playing on my own, so I'm always very insecure and afraid to mess things up. Besides, I've got zero self-esteem and it's always a wonder to me when I can play something decently. :)

Apart from that, I tried drawing a Bela/Farin pic yesterday. It's not too bad, Farin actually looks like Farin in it! But Bela doesn't look like Bela at all. Damn. *sigh* I'm still colouring it, I'll probably post it in a couple of days.

I watched Richy Guitar again last Saturday night. I got back home around 3 am but was wide awake (drinking Irish Coffee at 1 am is such a brilliant idea... :P), so I put on the DVD, plugged in my headphones and watched the film with an idiot grin on my face like I always do. I love the scene where Richy and Igor are playing near the ice-cream kiosk, especially when Igor steals an ice-cream and gives it to Richy. Aww. ♥ You know it's real love when a boy who is always hungry (Richy: "Du Fresssack!" XD) steals an ice-cream for you and doesn't get any for himself. :P

And Bela makes the funniest expressions ever.

What else... Oh, yes, I don't often write "serious" entries, but this entry by kasche is worth reading. And peole wonder why I'm so ashamed of being Italian sometimes. *sigh*

I wanted to post the results of "The Quiz", but I thought it would be nice if I gave some kind of visual evidence too, so I'll have to take a few pictures before. A short recap:

You know, I find it quite funny that they've both taken for granted that I was almost arrested for drug smuggling. Do I give the impression of being a drug addict/handler? No, wait, I don't want to know. XD

Anyway, just to make this entry a little more interesting... Richy Guitar screencaps!

All right, now that I've watched the whole film, I can write a nice fangirly entry about it.

First of all: it's so '80s that I couldn't not love it. The same way I liked "Sposerò Simon Le Bon" ("I'll marry Simon Le Bon"), a cheesy Italian film from the '80s where the main character is a Duran Duran fangirl. They're not masterpieces, but they're so much fun to watch. Besides, the former is set in Berlin and the latter in Milan and I like watching films that were shot in cities I know.

Being the Bela fangirl that I am, I was eagerly waiting for his first appearance. Imagine my reaction as he walked down the stairs dressed as a hamburger man. Why, yes, I squealed, how did you guess? I'm hopeless.

Apart from drooling anytime the camera was on Bela (so many yummy close ups) here are a few things I liked:

- the Richy/Anja kiss outside the caravan: it actually made me giggle. So much for a fictional kiss, you could see Farin's tongue nice and clear. He must have thought "Well, let's have a bit of fun while I'm here." You naughty, naughty boy.

- the band bus: they fixed an old Berliner Kindl bus and changed the name into "Berliner Kinder". And since Berliner Kindl was my favourite beer when I was in Berlin, the whole thing made me go "Aww".

- the party on the lake: more specifically, Igor's behaviour at the party. While Hans was chatting with a girl, Igor was chatting with an American soldier. And quite coyly too. At one point he linked his arm through the soldier's and the soldier said "Ich bin verheiratet" (I'm married). I was dying.

- Richy getting arrested: I really liked the scene where Richy is brought into a cell and there's this close up of him behind the bars and he says "Richard Schrader heiß ick. Kann ick jetzt jehen?" For some reason, I found it really sweet. Must be the Berliner accent.

And even if there aren't subtitles, I understood most of it. So, yes, I'm very happy with it. I'll post some more screencaps soon, but for the moment...
