Challenge #2: Pets of Fandom

Loosely defined! Post about your pets, pets from your canon, anything you want!

I don't have any pets at the moment, but my family used to have a dog when I was a child, and we got a cat when I was 15. I don't remember much about the dog (he died when I was about 5), but our cat was a big part of my life (he stayed with us for almost 14 years). His name was Spillo and he was adorable.





As for fandom pets, I was about to write about Sam, the former police dog adopted by Nick in CSI, but then I remembered that a few years ago, when I was really into Star Trek: TNG, I joined a fic community on LJ and wrote drabbles told through the point of view of Spot, Data's cat. I loved the fact that Data had a cat as a way to be more human and, well, the ending of Generations made me cry a little (not going to write what happens just in case someone hasn't seen the film).

Anyway, the ficlets are here. They're nothing special, but it was a fun writing exercise.
