gothikmausIt's that time of the year again, time for end of year memes and fannish overviews. I didn't draw much and wrote less than last year, but all in all I'm satisfied.

CSI was my main fandom again this year. I thought the new Good Omens series would inspire me more, but that didn't happen. I still have at least one CSI WIP I desperately need to finish, let's see if 2024 will be the year I finally do it. I also have some other WIPs at various stages of progress and random ficlet ideas that attack me when I'm least expecting them, I'll try to write as much as I can.

What did you do in 2023 that you'd never done before?
I visited Sweden and Sicily, took a cable car (as in, aerial lift, not a tram like in San Francisco), ate reindeer meat.
Did you keep your New Years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
As has become tradition, my #1 resolution for 2023 was to read more books. I didn't read as much as I used to, but I did read more than in 2022. I didn't write as much as I did in 2022, but I'm happy with what I wrote. I didn't draw much. I also applied for a few jobs, but with no results.
My resolutions for 2024 will be to read, write and draw as much as I can, and to keep an eye out for a potential new job. I should also work more seriously on one (or more) of the original projects I've been toying with for a while.

Did anyone close to you die?
No.
What countries did you visit?
Sweden.
What would you like to have in 2024 that you lacked in 2023?
More friends, a relationship, a more gratifying job.
What dates from 2023 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Seeing a Pooh concert again after almost 30 years.
What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Submitting a story to a literary contest, even if it wasn't shortlisted.
What was your biggest failure?
Not being considered for 2 jobs I was very interested in; my story not being shortlisted for a literary contest.
Did you suffer illness or injury?
I sprained my ankle.
What was the best thing you bought?
My trips to Sweden, Sicily and South Tyrol.

I can't think of anyone.

A certain someone at work.

Travels.

I was in Rome for work on my actual birthday. The previous weekend I celebrated with some friends and saw a Madame Sadowsky concert. I turned 43.

If my story had been shortlisted in a literary contest.

Still mostly black. With some leopard and zebra pattern thrown in.
