TWENTY YEARS AGO: I was three years old. I lived in a big, old house. I had a dog called Goldrake. I was perhaps the only little girl who was happy to go to kindergarten and didn't want to go back home when my mother came to fetch me.
TEN YEARS AGO: I was thirteen. I had a crush on a classmate who had a crush on another girl. I went on holiday without my parents for the first time. I still remember that summer as "the best summer of my life", even though I only remember about half the stuff I did during those 3 months. I went to my first concert.
THREE YEARS AGO: I was twenty. I was in my first year at university. I became obsessed with The Cure. I discovered the wonderful world of fanfiction. I turned into a little goth. I went to a city about 300 km away from where I live to see a concert on my own. I went back to England in the summer. I bought a pair of purple Doc Martens in London. I found out I could draw decently if I tried hard enough.
ONE YEAR AGO: I was twenty-two. I was obsessed with a punkish guy I saw at uni. I got stoned on my birthday. I drank 2 Long Island ice-teas in a row and didn't get a hangover. I went to Greece with Demi on holiday, where people called me Satan or thought I was a S&M queen. I discovered HP/SS slash.
YESTERDAY: I was twenty-three. I ate rice noodles.
TOMORROW: I'll still be twenty-three. I'll go into town and buy comics.
