Oh, man, the latest H50 episode was so bad. I had seen comments and entries saying the same thing, but I thought people were exaggerating. Well, they weren't. There was the potential for a very interesting episode, but sadly it didn't work for me.
I liked some parts, like looking at action scenes from a different point of view, which gave us an idea of what the characters actually see, like the scene where Steve jumps off the balcony and you get to see what Danny must see all the time.
From a writer's point of view it was interesting to see how completely different the writing for a talk show is compared to the writing for a drama: the morbid attention to people's suffering, the close-ups after personal questions just to show the embarrassed/awkard reaction etc. Like I said, there was the potential for an interesting episode, but it was too much: I don't like talk shows and I had to force myself to watch the whole thing. I would have kept the talk show format only for a half of the episode, but I guess it would've been too complicated to do. They could've had the team closing the case and then someone catching a glimpse of Wo Fat while the show was airing, but the whole story timeline would have to be different.
Oh, well, I'm not the author. But I loved Catherine's "That's none of America's business".
