Funny encounters in Downtown LA

I was supposed to meet a friend today, but she had to call it off at the last moment, so I went to see the Avila Adobe, which I hadn't seen yet. And while I was Downtown, I went for a very last dinner at Kula, where I ended up sitting next to the same guy that was sitting next to me last time I was there! In a city as big as Los Angeles, that's quite impressive. He looked at me and went "Are you kidding me!?" We chatted a bit and he casually mentioned that if we met again, we would have to start going out together. Too bad he could be my father... *facepalm*

while LA is big, it's also small in that people frequent places at the same time every day/week, so it is possible to bump into the same person.

Also, LA and sushi kind of go hand in hand. people will go to the same same sushi place no matter how far it is from where they live.

Well, that other time was on another day and quite a bit later (I was there for the closing ceremony of Nisei Week), but I guess if you have a favourite place, you tend to go there often, so the chances of seeing other "regulars" are higher.

At first I thought he was joking, because the situation was so absurd, but after a few comments I started to think he might actually be serious...
