Question for my German and Germanophile friends

I mentioned some time ago a friend of mine invited me to the radio program she hosts on a small web radio. It's a rock program and the theme will be "German music". She wants to play mostly bands that are also known in Italy, which isn't easy. She also said "No metal bands", because she already had a "German metal night".

So I put together a playlist with a few big names and a few smaller acts. But I need a few suggestions. Here's what I have, in no particular order:


- Die Toten Hosen "Hier kommt Alex"
- Die Ärzte "Schrei nach Liebe"
- Nina Hagen "My way"
- Oomph ft. Nina Hagen "Fieber"
- DAF "Verschwende deine Jugend"

We need 3-4 more songs. My friend gave me this list of German artists to choose from:

I didn't even consider Tokyo Hotel in my preliminary list. XD I would choose Xmal Deutschland and Cinema Bizarre, but that's my personal taste. I saw H-Blockx live a few years ago, but I don't remember much.

WHAT WOULD YOU SUGGEST??? Any particular song by these bands? Other bands? All suggestions are appreciated!

You know what's funny? When I was brainstorming and trying to come up with as many German bands as possible, I didn't even think of Tokyo Hotel. I mean, of course I know they're German, but it's like my brain refused to even consider them. XD

The Beatsteaks are one of those bands that are completely unknown in Italy. But I reached a compromise with my friend: as long as most bands are known here, I can throw in a few unknown names as well. :)

Sportfreunde Stiller are kind of fun and I do love Madsen, but I think they're hard if you don't understand the lyrics. I could suggest some ooooooold Nena and there are a couple Witt songs that are cool.
