Oh, nice, that was just what I needed this morning, a nice little earthquake. I had just woken up and was standing at the sink in the bathroom when the whole room started swaying. I was still half-asleep and, since yesterday we had very strong winds, I thought "Man, is the wind so strong it's making the house sway?" It took me a couple of seconds to realise what an idiotic thought that was and that it was an earthquake.

It's the second time I've experienced an earthquake within 5 months and both times in unusual areas, the US East Coast and Milan. Is it a sign? Is the earthquake following me? Should I be worried? I am planning to go to Los Angeles and I'm NOT looking forward to finding out what a real earthquake is like, thank you very much.

There was a very, very light earthquake here when I was still in bed in the morning some years ago. It shook my bed lightly and I found it very a very strange feeling.

It was weird, I was standing in front of the mirror and I could feel the whole house swaying. Luckily it was just a light earthquake. My aunt from Abruzzo said my cousin laughed when she heard it was only a 4.9 earthquake, they are used to much worse there.

My little earthquake experience was enough and I decided that I don't want to know what a 'real' one feels like. The feeling that you just have to wait and that you can't do anything about it is very scary. It seemed to alarm all my senses and I didn't like that.
