gothikmausAfter last year's spectacular failure, I'm not taking part in NaNowriMo in 2011. Not that the failure itself surprised me, I'm a very slow writer and I knew there was no way I could dish out 50k words in 30 days, but I still thought I would write a little more.
But I haven't given up on that particular idea, I went back and re-read what I have so far, tweaked a few things and I'm planning on going on. My goal is to finish it, I don't care if it ends up 20k or 50k.
What I must work on, though, is a writing sample for that screenwriting workshop I'd like to attend next summer. According to the website, application forms will be online from January 2012, so I have all the time I need. But I don't want to keep procrastinating like I usually do and I've already started working on it. I know what I want to write, but I'm not used to the screenplay format, so I keep writing and rewriting scenes. And starting so early gives me some extra time, so I'd be able to think of something else if I don't like what I have.
So, yeah, baby steps this year. I can do it.
Also, I plan on wasting my evening/night watching Moonlight. Only 6 episodes to go! \o/ Oh, Mick...
