gothikmausI almost forgot there was Robin Hood on tv last night. I don't particularly like the film, but Alan Rickman is divine as the Sheriff of Nottingham. I had never seen it in Italian and I was very disappointed, I didn't like the voice of the actor dubbing Alan at all. He was good, but Alan is far better.
Anyway, I missed the first 40 minutes or so, but I was lucky because I switched the tv on just in time to see my favourite scene, when one of his minions (or whoever he is) tells him that the poor love Robin Hood and the sheriff gets all angry and shouts "and call off Christmas!", then storms out in the corridor, sees two girls sitting in a corner and tells them: "You, my room, 10.30 tonight. You, 10.45. And bring a friend." That cracked me up! XD
Also, I've recently come across an old English Literature notebook of mine and there was a short essay on Robin Hood in it, our teacher made us watch it in class. I had to write about my "favourite" character, the one that had caught my eye, and guess who I wrote about. The sheriff of course, I wrote something like "I liked him because even though he's the typical villain, he's damn funny, he's such a loser." And I totally agree with my younger self. Some things never change. ^_^
