It's October! (Even if it's so warm it feels like June). Time to start working on my Five-0 Fright art. I already know what I want to draw and it's going to be ridiculous! :D I just hope I can pull it off.
For the time being, have a meme I found in
sirona_gs's journal.
1. Reply to this post with 'hot cocoa', and I will pick five of your icons.
2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4.This will create a never-ending cycle of icon glee. TELL ME ABOUT YOUR ICONSES.

| This is my oldest icon. It's Lupin and Jigen from Lupin the Third, one of my favourite Japanese cartoons. I was reading this Italian tribute years ago, saw this panel and just had to scan it, add a little heart and turn it into an icon. ♥ Also, I loved the fact that the "tribute" was basically authorised fanart published with permission from the original author (Monkey Punch). | |
| Another very old icon. This is Watari from the manga "Yami no matsuei". I used to love that manga and when I saw this drawing, I thought it would make an appropriate icon for when I'm feeling grumpy. I've thought of throwing it away and upload a new icon, because I don't remember anything about that manga, but the expression is just priceless. | |
| The two main characters from the Italian comic "Lambrusco & cappuccino". Why, yes, I like reading comics. I only read a few now, but I used to buy SO MANY when I was in school and university, I started selling some of them last year and I still have heaps. | |
| Daria from the MTV cartoon of the same name. I loved Daria when I was in school, I used to think of myself and my best friend as a sort of real-life Daria and Jane. I use this icon when I'm feeling nerdy and know-it-all. | |
| Japanese lanterns. I love Japan and hope I'll visit it one day. I liked the composition and colours in this photo (the bigger version used to be my laptop background before the H50 team took its place). I use this icon when I write about travels or when I'm feeling dreamy or mellow. |
