My God, I'd never thought writing 1400 characters would be so difficult. Not words, mind you, just bloody characters. That may depend on the fact that the piece of news was really tiny; or that two of our neighbours decided that today would be the perfect day for coming over and arguing very loudly with my parents, making it impossible for me to concentrate. Fffuuu-

Anyway, hopefully those 1400 characters will be published as my first mini-article on the local newspaper. (And no, it's not the one about health, that one got delayed.) I should write another one as well, but I still haven't received the infos I need.

I also got my hair cut today. It's good to have straight hair every now and then. *strokes hair* And I had to drive my mother around for some shopping. That means I haven't had any time to work on my not-really-NaNo-project at all. *headdesk* There's NO WAY I'll be able to write 50,000 words (there's a reason why I'm so fond of drabbles: I can't write long stories!) I'll be happy if I can just finish the bloody thing.

Here, have a counter thingy, courtesy of Write or Die.

Feel my fail.

Oh my goodness, when did it become 50,000 words?! I thought it was 25,000!

Congrats on finishing the piece for the paper!

I'll be glad if I can reach 25,000! I mean, as long as I can finish the bloody story, I don't care how many words I write. 20,000 or 50,000, 100,000 - I just want it out of the way.

Thanks. :) Now, if only the guy who's supposed to send me the info would actually send them... -_-

What are you writing about for the NaNo? Is it fic-based or something original? I've been tempted by NaNo a couple of times, but it feels like too much pressure ;-;

It's an original story, the idea is years old, but now I actually have a plot. I'm not taking part in it officially, I don't think I'd be able to write so much in so little time, but I'm using the writing frenzy as a stimulus. Maybe looking at those people who can actually dish out so many words will make me be a little more productive? If I could just write 1000 words a day I'd consider it a great result. I'm so inconstant...

I feel so inconstant too :( When I look back to the days when I was writing DA fics and I was throwing out thousands of words every month it felt great, but it's so hard to even write a couple of paragraphs now. I'm getting there with this fic I'm working on, but I don't want to post any of it until it's just about finished (which could be never at this rate).

My problem (apart from being chronically lazy and procrastinating way too much) is that I get stuck in the middle of a scene because one single sentence "doesn't sound right". I should learn to just keep writing and go back to editing later, but I'm such a perfectionist. =/
