It's been raining for two days straight and every river and canal in Milan overflowed its banks. Oh, joy.

So, it's November. I've always been tempted to join the NaNoWriMo madness but, knowing myself, I'm sure I'd never finish in time. That doesn't mean I can't use the generalised writing frenzy as a stimulus. I am, as a matter of fact, working on something. It's an old idea, and by old I mean at least 10 years old, but it could get interesting; let's see what I can make of it. I actually had to go and read a few short stories in Italian before I could write anything decent, I'm so used to reading and writing in English that I can barely write fiction in my native language any more. How sad is that?

I'm pretty sure it's going to be pretty stream-of-consciousness typing and not really coherent as a novel, but whatever. Vignettes count too, right?

Well, I didn't sign up for the official thing and I started writing on the 30th (or was it the 29th?), but it feels good to have an ongoing project. :)
