Damn, I didn't post the meme yesterday. I was out all afternoon and part of the evening, and when I got home I was too tired. But I'm very satisfied with the things I bought (not for me), so it was worth it. I also saw the fireworks for the opening of the Volkspark Tempelhof as well as some people demonstrating against it, they were running along our street after the opening ceremony was over and the park was closed (it's going to be closed at night).

Anyway, ready for the crack?

Fuck yeah, those were the '90s! Who can still remember the little dance routine? Well, I do! Now that I think about it, this song also reminds me of V's 15th birthday. My God, I've known some of my best friends for more than half of my life! :O

Anyway, here's the dance routine: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JbpZAqAucp8

And guess who else can dance to this song. Hint: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8RSo2JhBxo around 1:00. The first time I saw that I thought "They aren't... that can't be... OMGWTF It is!" XD

While I was looking for the video on YouTube I had a look at the "related" videos too and noticed I still know most of the dance hits from the mid '90s. It's... scary.

Day 10: A song that makes you fall asleep
"Lullaby", The Cure

Well, the song doesn't really make me fall asleep, but I love it and, hey, it's called "Lullaby"! :P I also had a dream featuring this song once: I had the CD in my old stereo and wanted to use it instead of the normal alarm, but when this song started, instead of waking up, I just went on sleeping and had a dream that was sort of an alternative version of the video, with vampires and other stuff I can't remember. So, yeah, it doesn't make me fall asleep, but it makes me dream.

Haha, I used to listen to a radio show that only played dance music and felt so ashamed because, officially, I didn't like dance music. Oh no, not me. :P

A couple of years ago I was at the seaside with 3 friends (the 4 of us were classmates in high school), there was a party on the beach and the music was supposed to be "revival". At first they played '80s stuff, but then they started playing '90s music! We were shocked! We were like "When did the music from our school days become revival?! D:"

Some weeks ago, I already saw the first "So waren die 90er". :(

The TV stations showed all of their '80s stuff, so it's time for something new. Now, younger people will make fun about all the stuff we liked during the '90s.

We're grown-ups now!

*sighs*

I'm pretty sure that song never crossed the Atlantic xD

I never realized that dance routine actually came from somewhere! I used to have an icon of them doing that dance, I think...

Oh, I think that song was the biggest hit in the summer/autumn of 1994. Really, it was everywhere!

I was about 6 when 'Saturday Night' came out and it was my most favourite song IN THE WHOLE WORLD!
I knew the dance and everything.

I still know the dance. And do it at family discos.

Yes, it's still (one of) my most favourite songs. :P
