Books and symbols

gothikmausFinally found "Adam's family" at the local library. I only have two words to describe it so far (up to chapter 5): oh, yeah. London, bisexuality, a male art college student making out with a girl and 5 minutes later with her brother. Let me repeat: oh, yeah.
Bought the Italian edition of Order of the Phoenix. I said I wouldn't, but there was 15% off on all books at the shopping centre and I was so curious to see how they had translated it and I have all the other books in Italian too and... Well. ^_^'
Speaking of something else entirely, today I found further proof to confirm my "theory" that "Milan is such a Slytherin city" (I even included that line in a drabble I wrote for![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)

Beside having a big snake eating a baby as symbol (o_O) and a lovely medieval torture museum (that I still haven't visited, damnit!), I've just discovered that, according to official iconography, St Ambrose, the patron saint of Milan, holds a whip in his right hand. A whip. What next, iron shackles and leather straps?
