I haven't updated in ages, sorry about that. We had a double birthday + goodbye party on Wednesday, but not everyone could come because it was in the middle of the week, so I'm meeting up with the rest of my friends tomorrow. I should be all excited and bouncy at the thought of going to Berlin (OMG only 4 days left!), but I'm strangely calm.

Here have a meme.

[livejournal.com profile] darth_funk asked me:

1: Every kid has a magazine that they loved to read, but you grew too old for it or it stopped printing. What was your favourite?

I used to read a weekly magazine called "Corriere dei Piccoli", which had a lot of comics in it, but when I was about 11 or 12 my mother decided I was too old for it and started buying me a magazine called "Airone Junior", which was a sort of scientific magazine for children and teens. I liked it, it had very interesting articles and nice pictures, but I wanted my comics, so I just went on buying "Corriere dei Piccoli" (which in the meantime had been renamed "Corrierino") without telling my parents. I also loved a monthly magazine called "Magic Girl", but it stopped printing when I was about 13. It reappeared a couple of years later, but just for a month or two, then it was gone for good.

2: Do you remember the very first DVD you bought? What was it?

The first DVDs we got came together with our DVD player, one was "Batman", one "Deep blue sea" and another one I've never even watched. The first DVD I've bought and paid with my money was either "The full monty" or "Dracula".

3: Is there anything you want that you have enough money for, but you won't let yourself buy?

A holiday in Japan. I have the money for it, but going on my own wouldn't make sense, if I have to spend so much money for a holiday, I want to be with my friends: we all love Japan and the holiday will be 100 times better if we're all together!

4: Have you ever cried in public (and doing it as a child doesn't count!)?

I try very hard not to cry in public, I think last time I did was three years ago in Berlin: it was my last day there and I was in the U-Bahn station at Alexanderplatz, waiting for the train to bring me back to the hotel to fetch my suitcase and then go to the airport. I really didn't want to go back home and at one point I just couldn't hold the tears back anymore. Luckily it only lasted a few seconds, then I managed to keep a grip on myself.

5: What is the first thing you do when you get in from work/school/whatever it is you do?

It's usually dinner time when I get home from work (well, when I was still working), so I take off my shoes, change into my "home outfit" and lay the table.

I try hard to remember which was my first DVD, I can't. And that's not so long ago. OMG, my memory for things like that is terrible.
