As I predicted, "The boat that rocked" was fucking brilliant. It's probably the best film I've seen this year (all right, I don't go to the cinema sooo often), but really, it made me want to raid my CD collection and just listen to '60s music for hours. (And there's a character called "The Count", come on!)

Today I've been listening to Suede, Pulp and Menswear instead and getting all nostalgic. Ah, my youth. I'm so tempted to accept a friend's invite to London, I haven't been back to England for far too long. But no, I'd better save up for September and next autumn.

I've been translating random technical stuff into German all day, I'll consider this a "warming up" for the Business German course...

I think that movie came out here a few months ago, but I missed it. Actually, I think it might be out on DVD in the next month. I might get it out :P

That's what we foreigners call a "very British film". ;) Plus, one of the characters was IDENTICAL to a friend of our's father! :O And the soundtrack was brilliant.

Lol, I love how when you go into a music/DVD shop here, the majority of British films are in the "World Cinema" section X3 WTF.

Yes, but in the "regular" just "Film" section, it's all American films :\ Unless it's stuff like Harry Potter which I guess are kind of "British" films. Otherwise it's in the World Cinema section.

Yeah, that's weird. Here's it's either "Films" (all foreign, mostly American), divided into subcategories such as action, horror, romance, comedy etc) or "Italian films", with no subcategories.

Usually I end up just asking a member of staff if they have something I'm looking for in stock. It's easier than trying to find it myself.
