Nach uns die Sintflut

It's the Flood! :O I swear I've never seen so much rain in my life. All right, I'm lying, but it's raining a lot. The streets were all flooded this morning and so was the car park where I left my car, as I was trying to reach the pavement I was walking ankle-deep in the water. Wearing Chucks. *headdesk* My trousers and shoes are, predictably, completeley drenched, but luckily there's no one in the office now, so I'm barefoot at the moment. It's one of the few things I've learned from my mother: never wear wet shoes! XD
Unfortunately, this morning I lost my thumb ring. :( When I was taking the laptop out of the car, I heard a metallic sound, as if something had fallen to the ground. I checked my keys, the only metallic thing I was holding, and saw they were still there, so I thought nothing of it. Only later, when I was sitting in the underground, I realised my thumb ring was missing. My hands must have been so wet it just slipped down. If I'm lucky it'll still be there in the evening, I'll just have to look for it in one of the puddles. D:
And damnit, it's going to rain in Montreux tomorrow. D: Not a storm, just sporadic rain, but it's still annoying. *pouts* Oh well, at least it's an indoor concert.
EDIT: The sun is shining again! Now I just hope I'll find my ring this evening. I mean, it's probably in a puddle under a car, it's not like someone would go and pick it up, you probably can't even see it. I know it's just a ring, but I like it... :(
EDIT 2: My socks are almost dry! It's taking a while, I had to put them on the air conditioner. I'll try with my shoes later (have to go down to the bar to get something to eat first), but I'm not very optimistic...
