Also, if I had known there's a hostel in Montreux, I would have booked a bed there. But I wasn't even sure I would go until last Thursday and now there aren't free beds anymore. Oh well, Die Ärzte are going on stage at midnight and they're probably going to play a couple of hours (they did play almost two hours at Frequency two years ago, and they started at 1 AM!), I'll just spend a few hours at the station and take the first train in the morning.

And what the fuck. Someone wrote me a message on the DÄOF forum and asked me how the concert in Hamburg was. This guy had already sent me a message some time ago, I said it was great, he asked me where I was standing and when I replied "Second row in front of Farin" he said "Well, you're not so young anymore, do you really need that?"

WHAT THE FUCK!? I'll stay where the fuck I want to, thank you very much! >:O

Can't believe someone actually said that to you D: Getting to the front row is a matter of principle! Although wearing trainers with steel toe caps in them has its advantages too XD

Make sure you are actually allowed to stay in the train station. Some places won't let anyone hang about after 2/3am before the first train for some bizarre reason that is yet to be explained.

Really? I stayed in a train station in Switzerland before and had no problems... If I can't I'll just wander around the festival area, it will be only for a couple of hours anyway.

And yes, when I read that comment I thought "WTF?! What's wrong with being in the front at concerts?" I mean, I do that for other bands as well, not just for DÄ. I simply like seeing bands as well as hearing the music, and with DÄ seeing their antics is half the fun! D:

I got moved on in Central in Glasgow, and I got moved on down in London too (although it was probably for the best - the amount of pimps creeping out from the shadows was starting to disturb me D:).

I like to be at the front of most concerts I go to. Standing at the front and getting caught in the crush is part of the fun. Maybe that guy just doesn't "get it" :\

I spent the night at Gampel station 2 years ago and had no problem, hopefully Montreux isn't so dangerous as Glasgow or London? And there are trains leaving from there at 5:00 AM, so they can't close the station for the whole night.

Yeah, I read that too. I hope they're going to play at least one show, I mean, in 2005 they only played 2 festivals and in 2006 only Ärzte Statt Böller (and the secret gig), maybe they'll do something similar?
