Got a reply from the Hamburger Volkshochschule: unsurprisingly, they chose someone else. I'm putting together quite an impressive collection of negative replies. I wonder if the people from Cologne will actually call me back, maybe they'll realise it'll be easier for them to just choose someone already living in Germany.

I shouldn't have checked the site of the GLS Schule in Prenzlauer Berg, I'm feeling all nostalgic now.

EDIT: You might have heard of the earthquake that hit Abruzzo yesterday. I have relatives living there, but everyone's fine. Some good news, at least.

I was worried about the earthquake! I'm glad everybody is okay, that's scary as hell!

Also at least all the letters prove you're actually going out there and applying? >_>

Earthquakes are quite frequent in that area, my parents felt two very light ones last time they were there to visit our relatives! Here in Milan they're very rare, we had a light one last year and I didn't even feel it. -__-

As for work, I just hope the people in Cologne won't change their mind. Yes, I know it's just a badly paid internship, but working abroad always looks good on a CV, doesn't it? Not that Italians care about your CV, they only care about who you know...

(Heh, I say "they" as if I wasn't Italian too...)

It'll look good to the Germans? WHICH IS WHAT WE WANT, RITE? X3

Naja, das war keine große Überraschung...

We had an earthquake here last year. Some chimney pots slipped from rooftops and a man fell out of bed during it and died as a result. You would have thought it was the "big one" the way people were reacting to it (I didn't even feel it, which was mildly disappointing). It's good to hear that everyone on your side is safe though :)

In this part of Italy earthquakes are very rare and usually very light, but in other areas it's quite a serious problems (we have a few active volcanoes too).
