The New Year wishes I've just got pretty much saved the whole year. For realz. Unexpected things are always the best. ♥

And now, before I go out (booh, I'll have to drive in the snow), the last Los Helmstedt cartoon of the year:

HAPPY NEW YEAR, PEOPLE! And remember: I LOVE YOU! You're among the few things that keep me sane.

*collective hug*

Ha ha ha omg I want magic gingerbread.

Bela, you're not allowed to do drugs anyway. It upsets your husband.

I wish I was as optimistic as you are. For the moment I just decided to stop thinking about the future and pretend I'm happy. Maybe I'll even convince myself.

Well, there were almost three years I've wasted with depression. That was a very sad time for me, I did nothing useful, I just felt bad and useless.

I managed to break out of that situation without any help. I just told myself to lift my ass or to kill myself and I'm much better now even if the beginning was terrible. Now, I'm sure that everyone can do. :)

To tell the truth, I'm getting tired of trying to change things. I'll just have to learn to accept the situation and accept the fact that dreams are not meant to come true. Sure, some small dreams do come true sometimes (like meeting Bela), but more serious things don't. If I can stop dreaming, everything will be fine.

You should never stop dreaming, you just have to tell yourself that you aren't allowed to suffer when dreams don't come true. It's typical for dreams that you have to wait patiently. Even it's sometimes damn hard.

Yeah, but my dream is to get an effing new job and the more I wait, the more difficult it gets to change. I'm still trying, but I dubt things will change.

There has to be a chance. Maybe you should flood Italy and Germany with hundreds of CVs. ;)

Haha, that's what I've been doing for the last months actually. :P

Btw, Germans are much more polite, at least they reply, even if it's just to say they're not interested or have no vacancies. :P

Maybe I should just build myself a very interesting imaginary life and pretend those 8-9 hours of work a day don't exist.

Well, then flood every company which doesn't really search, someday they'll need somebody and remember. Or sectors you don't want to work in, it would be a new job and maybe the door to a better job, just to have a foot in the door.

That was my usual task at my latest job. XD

Damn, the world is sooo big, there has to be a job you like. :)

Oh, well, apparently there are hundreds of jobs, but whenever I send my CV, no one replies. Which has lead me to think that either:

a) my CV is really awful

or

b) most of those job offers are fake.

Either way, I should just stick to my current job and shut the fuck up. Sorry for whining even on the first day of the year. =/

Haha, I don't care for that day, it only means much to me when it starts with ÄSB. :)))

my CV is really awful
I'm sure that isn't true!

most of those job offers are fake
Those jobs exist, but they take someone they already know, an employee of another department or via connections. The problem is: du musst einen kennen, der einen kennt. We'd say in my state. ;)

>>du musst einen kennen, der einen kennt

Pff, that's our motto here too. The sad thing is, I tried with connections and that didn't work either. That's why I'm getting tired of trying.

Du kennst keinen, der den RICHTIGEN kennt. *sighs*

That's my problem too. Send me a publisher who thinks I'm ingenious when you meet one. ;)
