I don't think the legs look too short. Perhaps a couple of extra folds at the top where his leg joins his hip, or an outline of a pocket might break it up a bit :) But yeah, I think it looks good! Drawing sitting poses is really, really difficult (which is why I hide difficult parts with speech bubbles and SFX XD)
Ah, yes, I erased the folds at the hip and never redrew them. Oops. And yes, a pocket would look good too. I should learn to be more patient when I draw, instead I get really pissed off if things don't look the way I want them to at the first try and just abandon them. Which isn't a very smart thing to do.
Oh, I know the feeling of just abandoning things too :( It's so easy to just drop it and never look at it again. Would you mind if I highlighted where I think extra folds would look good and showed you?
If you feel the legs are too short, flaring the trousers a little can lengthen them :) Afterall, if you stand up your hands are only a couple of inches above your knees, so from your knee to your hips isn't that long anyway. Different line widths help when you're inking too :D They give it a little more "depth".
