This photo gallery really pisses me off. It contains some adorable pictures of Farin from his interview at Radio Fritz, like this one, but others are blurry and just plain bad. Come on, all the radio staff was there to ogle Farin and no one could take decent pictures? You don't need to have a reflex to make good photos these days, it's just so easy to take great pics even with compact cameras, I can't believe that's the best they could do.

Yes, I am a bit of a photo-nazi, how did you guess? Actually I plan on doing a photography course because I know I'm lacking in technique (aka I suck) and want to get better. There are so many good photographers out there, I hope those pics were just taken by someone working at the radio and not by a "professional photographer", because otherwise I'll... get really angry.

In the info page there's a short video, you can see Rod cracking up about a minute and 25 seconds into it. It love his laughter. ♥

Also, I'm looking for hostels/hotels in Hamburg for when I'm going to see the FURT concert in December and I have to say I've become an expert in cross-researching. Elements I use when considering a hostel/hotel:

- price

- private/shared bathroom

- breakfast/sheets

- distance from U-Bahn stations (lines working at night are a plus)

I should just work in a travel agency, I actually enjoy doing these researches. It's a pity Elena can't come though, as she'll have to work on that weekend. :( I hope she can get a refound for the plane ticket, or at least change it and use it some other time.

By the way, now we have a spare ticket. Who wants to go to the FURT concert in Hamburg with Stefano and me? We are the coolest Italian Farin fans ever! And probably the only ones, but that's another story...

They were all fangirling over him so could you seriously expect them to take decent pictures of him? I know I couldn't *g*

Rod in that musictour vid is cute, even though I don't like that musictour guy's way of promotion..

Aww, sorry, we've already bought tickets and booked the flight. But I've done a quick search and WTF RyanAir has some RIDICULOUSLY CHEAP flights between Milan and Frankfurt. Damn.

BEWARE RYANAIR - It's the other Frankfurt airport they fly to... (I know because I live two miles from Ryanair's base airport for Scotland and my mother thought she was being smart by booking one of their Frankfurt flights - ha!). You'd have to bus/train it from there, and it's quite a distance. I was going to go to the Frankfurt one too but... *actually has no real reason why she doesn't*

I didn't really have a problem with the distance, but it was the time I'd have to get up to be back at the airport in time for check in :\ I think the flights to Frankfurt from Prestwick are one every two days (it's either Frankfurt of Duesseldorf) and I really can't stretch to another day there. Not when I'm in Berlin for a week just before Christmas :S

There is no way I am getting up at five in the morning in the freezing cold, navigating a city I've never been to and using a language I'm not fluent in just to get to check in on time.

HAH, when I went to see Ärzte Statt Böller in 2006 I flew to Frankfurt with RyanAir a couple of days before the concert (because a certain drummer had told me a certain band would play a secret gig in Frankfurt, instead they played in Berlin and I had to travel all over Germany to see them *grumbles*) and I had to get up at 3 AM. On the 29th of December. >_< Luckily my parents drove me to the airport, otherwise I would've never made it in time, I think my flight was around 6:00 AM. Ugh.

Lol, at least you haven't had to spend eight hours attempting to sleep on an airport terminal floor. Only to be 'moved on' by a policeman with a machine gun. And the person you're with is trying to climb into your sleeping bag with you because you at least at the foresight to bring one.

NEVER AGAIN.

There's something really dark about airports after 11pm. It's as though some sort of noxious vapour is released into it and everyone just falls over where they are standing o_O

Oh, but I did that. Well, not exactly. Last time I was in London with a friend we missed our flight back home because the bus got stuck in a traffic jam and we arrived 5 minutes after they had closed the check in. When we got to the terminal there were already two other people arguing with the desk lady, they had got there in time, but apparently the check in had closed 5 minutes earlier, maybe because there was no one left? We asked and begged, we didn't even have luggage, just hand-luggage, but the bitch just said "There's nothing I can do for you." So we had to spend the night at Luton and wait for the first flight of the next morning. Buying a new ticket, of course. ARGH.

No, it's Frankfurt am Main, but not the main Frankfurt airport, it's Hahn. About an hour away by bus. Meh.

I met Bela a few times during his solo tour in 2006 and 2007, but not Farin or Rod. And I guess most of the fans who meet him/them are embarrassed, so he probably didn't notice. The first time I gave him a comic book and could only babble "Ehm... this is for you", the other times I actually managed to talk a bit more. :P

Ah, no, I spoke in English, if I had spoken German it would've taken me forever to finish a sentence (I forget all my grammar when I'm nervous), and after concerts you don't have much time to talk. We talked in English and he was very nice, I even got a few hugs. ^_^ And he told me about the secret gig at the SO36 in Berlin waaay before anyone else knew about it, hehehe. The last time we met he even remembered my name (well, I had told him 2 days before), but I guess he has forgotten it by now. :P
