I hate "last concert feelings". The concert was brilliant last night, definitely one of the best I've been to so far, but now I just can't shake this melancholy off. Thank God Stefano is arriving is a couple of hours, otherwise I don't know what I'd do. Mope around and be utterly depressed probably.

I'm not going to write a real report right now, but I'll just let you know a few little facts that contributed to my current sadness.

1) I was hoping I'd share my room with other Ärzte fans, since pretty much everyone was staying at the same hostel, but I ended up with two middle-aged French tourists.

2) I went for a walk in the centre and when I got back to the club, I saw the tour truck was there. I thought of staying a bit, but I really needed to go to the toilet and it was still quite early, about 12:40, and just a few people were sitting around, so I went up to the hostel, which is just above the club, went to the toilet, ate something and when I came back 15-20 minutes later the tourbus was there! Meaning, I missed the guys getting out of it for 10 minutes. Needless to say, I hated myself so much in that moment.

3) After the concert they built barricades at the entrance and, since the tourbus was there, everyone thought the guys would come out from there. So we lined up and waited; even if they wouldn't give autographs we could at least sneak a glance at them, right? Wrong: after a while one of the front row girls came over and said they had got out from the back entrance (and where the fuck was it???), said hello to the few fans standing there (bastards) and went away. I wanted to cry. Instead I just stayed around, chatted with the crew and told them they should tell the guys to come and play in Italy.

That said, the concert really was amazing, they started with "Stick it out" and seemed to be in a very good mood. Besides, I was standing in the second row right in front of Farin and the two girls in front of me were so short it was like standing in the front row anyway.

I'll write a more accurate report when I'm back home in a few days, now I'll just waste some time and go fetch Stefano at the airport.

PS Why don't I have friends who are Ärzte fans too? I feel so alone. :(

PPS Ameiseee, where were youuu? :(

PPPS I couldn't sleep last night and kept thinking of ways to make them play in Milan. I'll beg every single club in the city, they played in Moscow, for fuck's sake, why not Milan? It's time to use my studies in event management, oh yes.

Your report makes me melancholic, another notable evening and i was faaaaar away. :(
I know your "after depression", hits me very often. *pets*

I'm glad it was a great concert. Shit that you missed the guys. Next time. ;)

Have a great time with Stefano. Cheer up. *hugs*

By the way, you're not alone. I sometimes feel like the only Ärzte-Fan in universe. None of my friends is interested in them...

:)

Yeah, well, it's even more difficult for me, living in Milan where no one even knows who they are. :( Luckily I turned Stefano into big Farin fan, I dragged him to a FURT concert 2 years ago and he's been pestering me ever since, because he wants to go to another one, so we're going to the Hamburg gig together in December. :) I just wish I had someone else to travel and fangirl with, he's not really into DÄ, just Farin. :(

Aww! You're going to the Hamburg one?! I'm going to the Berlin one ;______; Actually, I might go the Hamburg one too. It's just I have the tickets for Berlin already ;D And at least there is a very slight chance they might play Italy. Try living here. The big bands usually only play one gig in Scotland and it's a a shit venue. Sometimes they change to one of the smaller, better ones at the last minute, but it's not any cheaper.

Yeah, I'm going to Hamburg with two friends. Hey, let's meet up if you're going too!

Damned for online-fangirling forever. ;)

But i think Italy is possible, Moskau and Prag, then they could also play in Milano! Let's start to terrorise them. I'd travel to Italy for a concert. I love Italy. XD

Why is he just a Farin fan? Impossible! XD

Just you wait, I'm serious when I say I'm going to pester every club in Milan about hosting one of their concerts...

And I don't know! He even bought the "Bäst Of" but wasn't so impressed, while with Farin he's like "OMG that man is a genius!" XD

Make them play at Milan. I'll be there! XD

So there were no autographs? That makes twice.
Looks like they really don't care that much about their fans anymore.:(

Apparently they signed autographs when they arrived because there were only a few people there (and I hate myself even more for arriving 10 minutes too late), but as I wasn't there, I can't be sure. Oh, well...

No, they didn't, as far as I know, not on arriving and not on departing...

By the way, they had to leave VERY early, because they were going to the Chiemsee (Nico told me, and I definitely believe him way more than T! in Moscow).
On top of that, they were sweaty as hell - as was everyone -, so they apparently just left asap.

I don't know, I'm not even sad there were no autographs, probably because I never expected them after Moscow... And the concert itself was great =)

Whoops. I was wrong. There WERE autographs. After the show.
Funnily enough, (almost) none of the usual suspects were there. Including me.
It's a curse that I'm never meeting the three of them together, I'm telling you! XD

To tell the truth I don't really care about autographs, I just wanted to sneak a peak at them before going to bed. ;)

I don't really care about autographs, either - but somehow, I would've liked to say thank you for a whole lot of great concerts.
I had my 50th gig the other day in Losheim. Man, I'm an addict. XD

I'll just write Farin a mail or something, I guess.

Yeah, saying thank you would have been nice, they're always giving me excuses to visit new places. ;)

Are you going to any FURT concert next autumn? I'm going to the Hamburg one with Stefano (I turned him into the biggest Farin fanboy in Italy, I swear XD) and another friend.

Oh that feeling after a good concert's over is just terrible; it must be much worse after following a tour *hugs*

Thanks for the report though; I like reading about stuff like this even or especially since I couldn't see them live myself.

2) How did you know you've missed them? Or did you mean the tour bus wasn't there before you went up to the hostel?

3) What's with them sneaking out at the back entrance - so not cool guys!! Especially since there weren't that many fans I'm assuming..

PS: I'm the only DÄ fan here too (I can't believe that!) so it's great to have found you guys =)

When I arrived only the truck was there and when I came back there was the tourbus too, so... =/

After the concert most of the fans went away, but I guess they just weren't in the mood or something. Mph.

The concert was sooooooooo great!
Maybe I was one of the short girls, I was standing just between the austrien and the prague people in the front row.
And about the autographs, I waited from ten o'clock and only left sometimes to go to the toilet and asked the others if I missed something and they told me they didn't come out and signed.

Were you the blond girl wearing a fanclub jacket sitting in front of the club at 10:30 AM? If so, I saw you, I wanted to come over and say hello, but wasn't really sure it was you...

Oh my, I'm sorry!

I really did keep an eye out for you, but somehow I just didn't see you. I met plenty of people I did not want to meet, though. Life's unfair!
Before the concert, we didn't really want to hang out in front of the club; we just talked to the crew for a bit and then proceeded to take in the sights in Prague; beautiful city. We only came to the Roxy around 6pm and left quite soon after the concert, because we really HAD to shower. Man, the concerst was hot and sweaty and perfect and yeah, I cried a little, cause the tour is drawing to a close so rapidly...
It's weird, though, we can't have stood far apart, cause I was in front of Farin as well (around 6th - 10th row, though, since he had so explicitly said he did not want the German first row to be that far up front at the Moscow & Prague gigs XD ). I might even have surfed over your head a couple of times. Weird. I did think to have spotted a curly head early during the gig, but when I went to investigate after the concert, you weren't there anymore.
We even would've had a spare bed in our room at the Dlouha-hostel, you could've had that and stay with DÄ-fans. Damn. :(

oh that's really a pity. Are you going anywhere else this tour? My last concert will be Uelzen and I'm really sad about that. Because who knows maybe it's the last concert ever, you'll never know. . .
there were only 8 tickets sold inside Prague, so there were 8 prague fans. (left to me) so some Germen and austriens had to fill up the front row :-)

Yeah, I'm going to Uelzen and Konstanz. Konstanz is waaaay to far from here, but I couldn't really stand the idea of not going, after all these great gigs. Already, I'm close to tears thinking that there are just two concerts left for me. Man, I'm so spoilt.
I don't think there won't be another tour, though. They're having WAY too much fun at the moment - completely different from 2004. ;)

This weekend is going to be great, btw... Tomorrow the Beatsteaks in Hamburg, DÄ in Uelzen on Saturday and Muff Potter in Hamburg on Sunday. Yay. :)

I've been on 8 concerts so far and I still mourn the ones I haven't seen, it's really awful, sme years ago I was happy to go on two.

I don't think they gonna break up, Prag alone showed that but I think they are doing more solo stuff now and less Ärzte stuff, I think we will have another tour 2010 or maybe late 2009 and I think it won't be this long anymore.

And I am getting older, too 2010 I mighthave a regular job, I don't think I can afford a whole tour, or even a half from that bit holiday I'm going to get.

Sounds awful optimistic, right? Nah no matter what the concerts gonna be great and I'm so looking forward to Uelzen, I'm gonna pogo and surf and sing !

From: [identity profile] killer-ameise.livejournal.com
Yeah, the concerts are sort of addicting. Who needs crack if there's DÄ-gigs? ;)
I started out with one gig a tour in 98/99 and since then it's getting more and more, culminating this year in, er, I'm not even sure how many, 27 I think. God, I'm crazy.

Btw, I'm not even so sure the solo-stuff is actually going to get (even) more - Farin for one seems a lot happier with DÄ at the moment than he was 2004. We'll see, time will tell. :)

Btw, wo ein Wille ist... I know lots of people who have "real" jobs and still manage to somehow do the WHOLE tour. I'm still not sure how exactly they do that, but it certainly is possible XD

Ohhh :-) I'd love to visit Milan I really do love Italy, unfortunatly I'm still or at least should be still learning for my exam, learned on the way home and will continue so. Uelzen is the last concert for me. Must be strong !

I'd love to. Unfortunately, I'm really, REALLY broke. Maybe I should blackmail Farin into paying for the trip somehow... XD

Well, I didn't want to be in the front row for the same reason, plus my ribs were still hurting from Sziget (yeah, the pleasure of standing in the front row at festivals), but I don't really qualify as "German first row", do I? ;) I didn't even run and found myself in the perfect spot, it must be fate. ;)

I stayed around in the club because I really didn't want to go to bed that early, I was still so hyper, and that way I could chat a little with the crew. By the way, in which part of the hostel were you staying? I was in the part around the corner, on the fifth floor, now my friend and I are staying directly above the club on the third floor and that's much better, even the breakfast room is nicer. Damn. =/

Well it's all kind of complicated, I planned on visiting Prague with a friend of mine, and we wanted to stay at a friend of hers, we've both been to Prague before ,school exchange, and she stll knew that girl. But then she had gotten two "Hausarbeiten" that's some work for uni and had no time left. So she skipped the concert and I had to rearrange, I stayed at the hostel across the street it was kind of nice though.

We were in the part directly above the Roxy on the second floor. Yeah, it was nice - and, funnily enough, we never had to wait for showers, while our friends in the other part of the hostel kept complaining about having to wait in line. XD

No, you certainly don't count as "German first row". I'm pretty sure I know whom Farin meant by that - and I'm quite happy I decided not to stand in first row in Moscow... He's always making fun of me, anyway, I don't want to multiply that XD

Date: 2008-08-25 09:05 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] gothikmaus.livejournal.com
Hahaha, you should be proud he makes fun of you! XD

I'm still not sure if he actually knows my face, I mean, I've been to quite a few concerts but not so many. Then again, I'm pretty much the only Italian girl who goes to concerts and writes emails to him. And I bet Bela's already forgotten all about me, we know how absent-minded he is. ;)

That said, I'm insanely proud because someone painted a sign with the Italian flag and put it on the barricade where I was standing (along with one of Rod's picks) during the secret gig in Berlin 2 years ago. I think Farin might have had something to do with that, as it was written half in English and half in Italian...
