That story I wrote for the literary contest didn't even make it to the "Top 10", that is, the 10 stories that are going to be published. A few other stories will be chosen in the next days, but I'm not very optimistic.

Well, at least my friend's finally made up his mind and is going to buy passes for the Sziget Festival on Friday. So I'm going to Budapest and Prague this summer. At least I've got something to look forward to.

I also started sending my CV to language schools in Berlin and will probably send it to tourist agencies too, I've already sent it to one that was looking for Italian-speaking guides. I'm replying to job offers in the area around Milan as well, but no one fucking calls me back.

Bastards.

Oh come on, you know you're a brilliant wrter. You don't need that contest to prove that, even though I understand that winning would have been nice.
It would be great if you got a job in Berlin. :D

I wasn't expecting to win, my story wasn't that brilliant and some of the other stories I read were really really good (my favourite one ended up at number 2). But I hoped it would at least end up among the ones that are going to be published. Oh, well.

I'm just going through a very pessimistic phase right now, and this doesn't help at all.
