Yep, I'm still alive. The last few days have been crazy work-wise, I've had to go back and forth from our central office to the office where I'm working and changed laptop four times.

The first laptop pretty much committed harakiri, the second one had Vista and didn't work properly with the office wireless connection, then I got the first one back but it died on me again, then I got a third one but we couldn't get the wireless drivers to work (we found out only later it was the tech guy's fault) and now I'm using my boss's laptop. Meh.

Besides, I'm working on a very complex program and I have to help a guy who's just started programming and is still a bit clueless, so yeah, I've been quite busy. I found the time to send a few CVs around but I'm not counting on getting a reply anytime soon. *sigh*

The deadline for the literary contest has been postponed by the way, so you'll have to wait to read my masterpiece. HAH.

And I refuse to comment the elections result. Maybe if I ignore it, it will just go away... :(

I haven't heard a positive comment on Vista yet. =/ If I'll ever need to buy a laptop, I think I'll get an Apple...

Vista is horrible, but I suppose it works like a new car; give it a year to work out all the problems? I can only hope so. *shrug* How is the job search going for you? I have missed not talking to you as often. *hugs*

The job search isn't going well. The only interesting answer I got so far was for the communication office of a music festival, but I had to refuse because: a) they only offered a 6-month contract and b) they needed someone to start at once.

I liked the position and could have ignored the crappy contract and accepted even if the contract I have now is much better, but I have to give a 30-day notice to quit my current job or pay a fee. Usually the office that hires you pays for the fee if they really need you to start working at once, but not for a 6-month thing like this one.

The only thing I can do is keep searching at this point... *sigh*

What about you? Did you start the police academy?
