Auuus Berlin!
Oct. 4th, 2009 11:07 pmI wanted to write a nice long entry about what's going on, but I spent the last two hours listening to a webradio program hosted by a friend (theme of the night: post-punk and new wave) and chatting with E. who's currently in China (it's almost dawn over there, she was awake because she wanted to listen to the same radio-program. We were both mentioned by our friend, haha.)
Anyway, my German course is going well, one of the teachers I have in the morning actually told me to move on to the next level, so I'll be in the C2 class tomorrow! I'm a bit nervous, I'm not completely sure I can do it. Plus, my two teachers are really nice and so are my classmates, I'm sorry I have to leave them (Not to mention I was developing a sorta but not quite tiny little crush on someone in my class.) ANYWAY. I can go back if I think the new level is too difficult, I guess I'll just give it a try.
Yesterday morning I went to a demonstration in front of the Italian embassy, but there weren't so many people, maybe a hundred or so. I also saw part of "Die Riesen kommen", first near Potsdamer Platz, then on Unter den Linden, but it was so full of people, it was insane. Then I met
urania_chan and found out she lives just around the corner! As usual, I wasn't very talkative, but I spoke German all the time, I'm quite proud of myself. We also went to the MTV concert just behind the Brandenburger Tor (the same location where the giant marionettes met, you can imagine what a big, crowded mess that was), but we went away after an hour or so, it was just too crowded.
What else? My school takes part in this "Dominoaktion" for the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Wall, you can see what we did in my travelblog: http://ausberlin.wordpress.com/2009/10/04/1989-2009/ The entry is in Italian, but there are some pics of what we painted.
And of course on Friday I bought "Code B"! Unlike "Bingo", which I could really appreciate only after the concerts, I liked most of the songs on "Code B" at once.
I'm probably forgetting something, but I'm quite tired now, I'll just go to sleep. Goodnight!
