Ficlet + question about fanart
Aug. 4th, 2004 03:14 pmI started writing again. I wrote a ficlet for
slash_it's monthly topic (Ossessione) and went back to working on a Snape/Lupin fic I started months ago and then sort of abandoned. I don't know if I'll be able to finish it before I leave for Berlin next week, though.
And now, a question. If people don't comment on a fanfic or a piece of fanart, it usually means they don't like it, right? Right. So, since the last few drawings I posted got no comments (well, the one I posted at
andropotterist got 1, wow...), that must mean people didn't like them. So, my question is this: what can I do to make my fanart better? I don't have a graphic tablet and colouring is the most difficult part for me, especially the light/shadows areas. Do you know of any sites/on line tutorials that could help me? I've already bought a book on human anatomy and it's been very useful. I know I'm not Leonardo Da Vinci, but I also know that I've improved; when I look at pics I drew some time ago I can see the difference.
I'm sorry if that sounded whiny, but I'd really appreciate any suggestions. Thanks. =)
