I'd like to write about Morgan's concert from last Saturday, but I'll post another entry about that.

Random memories from the concert:
- I took the usual night train and arrived in Mannheim around 5:20 AM. UGH. Had breakfast at the station and killed some time reading a magazine featuring the silliest DÄ cover ever. Around 8:30 AM I walked to the hotel, but it was still early and my room wasn't ready yet, so I waited at the reception. Luckily they gave me the keys quite early and I could go to my room and lie down a bit. I was very lucky, I had booked a room without bathroom but they gave me one with bathroom for the same price. YES. I also watched "Junge" on MTV (first time I'd seen the video on TV) before collapsing for an hour. When I revived a little I went to the Christmas market and bought a few things for my mother and biscuits for my bandmates.
- I arrived at the venue around 2:20 PM and there were already quite a few people there. I thought I would never be able to get a decent place but I eventually sneaked in. When the gates opened all hell broke lose and I got stuck because of a girl's bag, when I could finally go I ran and ran and ran and got a perfect spot in the second row in front of Farin, where there was still plenty of room, while in front of Bela and Rod it was already quite crowded. I realised how horrible out of shape I am though, I gasped and coughed for 20 minutes and had to take 2 cough pills before I could breathe normally again.
- After a while I met up with Sammy, but Almut was nowhere to be found. I only met her after the concert.
- I wasn't impressed by the support band, Yeomen, who sang a cappella. One of the guys looked a bit like a young version of Bela in his blond period (2004-2005) and that's the only thing I appreciated. ^_^
- The support band was introduced by Rod (Sammy: "He's so cute when he's dressed normally!" And I have to agree. ^_^) So I saw all three of them introducing the support bands: Bela in Leipzig, Farin in Bremen and Rod in Mannheim. ^_^
- I threw a little bat on stage with the note "Alles gute nachträglich" hoping Bela would catch it while he was walking around, unfortunately he didn't and when T saw it lying near Farin's foot, he picked it up and took it away. Oh, well...
- I watched fascinated as a single sweat drop slid down Farin's face, temple to chin.
- Bela's little dance during "Manchmal haben Frauen" was adorable. As was Farin following him around swinging his hips, only to be caught by Bela because of all the cheering from the audience. Bela who turned around and tried to put a hand right on Farin's crotch... I mean... guitar strings, while he was playing.
- Bela checking Farin's wrist and forehead to see if he had a temperature. Do I need to say "Play doctor"? XD
- Farin bursting out laughing because of something Bela said just as he was sipping his tea and spraying it all over his guitar. Priceless.
- Bela running around his drumkit at the beginning of Angeber and Farin circling his little tea table. Adorable.
- Meer-Laola: we had to reproduce the sound the sea makes, which, according to Farin, is "SSSCHMAAAH". Farin: "Any person who lives by the sea, like me, knows that's the sound the sea makes." Ooo-kaaay...
- Deine Freundin was dedicated to Willi the roadie, as it was his birthday, and we had to sing PFLEGELEICHT + WILLI (lifting our fist) + AAAH!!! (as if we were fainting) with Farin dramatically faking he was passing out, hand on forehead and all.
- After the usual "Ohne Elke fahr'n wir nicht nach Haus" Farin asked "Is Elke here? No? Well, sorry, you'll have to find someone else who drives you home." Then at the very end, after "Dauerwelle vs Minipili", they decided to play another song and wanted to play "Käfer", to which I totally agreed, but I was the minority.
Farin: "Should we play a song starting with A?"
Audience: "Nooo!"
Farin: "Should we play a song starting with B?"
Audience: "Nooo!"
Farin: "Starting with C?"
Audience: "Nooo!"
Farin: "With D?"
Audience: "Nooo!"
Farin: "With...F?"
Audience: "Nooo!"
Bela: "OK, then we won't play 'Die fette Elke.'"
Farin *HIGHFIVES*
They eventually played Elke mixed with Käfer and then Käfer. I love this band. - After the show I caught up with Sammy and Almut, gave them early Xmas presents (the same kind of bat I had thrown on stage), bought the red "Ihr nehmt doch alle Drogen" T-shirt (from the golden hands of Jens himself. Man, he looks older than in the Schattenreich DVD...) and got a Coke because I wanted a DÄ cup and it was the only drink left. All right, they had beer too but I'm very difficult to please when it comes to beer. I got the glass with crossed bones, by the way. :)
- The next day I had to take the train at 12:45, get off in Basel and take another one to Milan, but I only had 10 minutes to change. When I got to the station I saw my train was 10 minutes late and thought "I'm screwed." I asked the DB guy and he told me I could take another train that left at 12:35, so I would make it in time. Why didn't the DB agency book that one from the start? Waiting for a connection a bit longer is better than having to run like hell because you only have 10 minutes to get off one train and get onto another one. But maybe that's just me being Italian, for me having just 10 minutes means missing your connection, since Italian trains are always late.
That's it for this year. Next concerts: Berlin Wuhlheide, 30-31 May and 1 June! :D

Great review =D I'm so sad I missed the spitting-part though I stood in the 6th row in front of Farin! Hnf. Now that really depresses me... ;D Ooooh, and why didn't you tell us about the Fickfrosch and the Grün-Laola, you know, right after the Meer-Laola... I loved it even more than the Meer-Laola... x3
Well, yeah, I only wanted to criticise (hell?! What a word!) the thing I started with, so... nice review, yeah, as entertaining as always, and I wish you lots of fun at the Wuhlheide already X3 (And did ya see the "Die bästä Vorbänd där Wält"-Shirt? Though I didn't like Yeomen, that was kinda cute.) Yeah.
Dawn (you know XD)

Date: 2007-12-30 03:34 pm (UTC)Yes, luckily it's working again - but not as well as it should...Yesterday, my connection broke several times, it's a chance I know how to fix it. But all this is getting annoying!
