Quote of the day:
Man A *pesters Man B*
Man B "Stop it or I won't mount your exhibition!"
Man A ""Who cares, I just want to mount..." *glomps*

How can I stay serious in a place like this?
The Italian female volley team is world champion! :D I wrote an entry about it in my Italian blog: Pallavolo, mon amour.
After watching the first part of MTV Masters last night I got an idea for a drabble and since I wasn't terribly busy this morning, I wrote it. I love angst.
Title: Es war Sommer
Fandom: Die Ärzte
Characters: Bela B, Farin Urlaub
Prompt: 003 - Ends; 031 - Sunrise
Word Count: 200
Rating: G
Author's Notes: Double drabble featuring 2 prompts.
Disclaimer: this is a work of fiction. The people portrayed in this story are real, but I use their "public personas" as if they were fictional characters. No libel or copyright infringement intended.
"Why don't we call it quits?"
Bela opened his eyes and turned his head. Farin was sitting in a deckchair next to him, head reclined back and eyes to the sky. The sun would be rising any moment.
"What?"
"With the band. Don't you think it's time we moved on?"
"Move on? Now that we're finally going somewhere?"
"That's the point. I'm not so sure I like the direction we've taken." He sighed. "Don't you ever feel the need to try something different, to explore new shores?"
The drummer was silent for a while.
"What about us?" He asked under his breath.
Farin tilted his head to the side and smiled at him.
"That's not going to change anything. You're my best friend. You'll always be."
Bela felt his throat constrict almost painfully. He looked at the horizon as the first sunrays swept away the darkness of the night and tinged the sky gold and red. A slight breeze rippled the surface of the sea. The air smelled of salt.
A shiver ran down the drummer's back and he hugged his arms around himself. He hadn't noticed how cold it was on that desert beach on a stupid Greek island.
