Warning: rant and swearing

I am so pissed off. The Vatican published a ten-pages document on homosexuality. Whoo-fucking-hoo. OK, we all know that, according to the Bible, homosexuality is wrong. I don't agree, but I can't change what's written in the book. The thing that pisses me off is that the clergy says "Homosexuality is bad for society, it will corrupt our children, no state should allow same-sex marriages, they are a threat to normal families."

What the fuck? (By the way, I hate the word "normal" with a passion). You're a priest? Just preach and keep your holy nose out of political business. Also, murderers can buy themselves a place in heaven (yeah, BUY, money will get you everywhere), but homosexuals can't even go to church without having to hear "You're an abomination, you'll burn in hell forever!" I can't fucking stand it. I mean, I'm an atheist, so I shouldn't care, but there are a lot of homosexuals who are religious and they suffer so much because of all this bigotry.

Religion should help people to find their inner peace, not condemn them for what they are. The Catholic Church disgusts me.

Every religion disgusts me, personaly. I don't give a damn about what Vatican thinks of how normal families should be. Hello, dumbasses, no family is normal. That's an oxymoron!

What I find ironic is that, when you get down to the texts (both Hebrew and Christian), the holy writings basically say, "Homosexuality may result in social ostracism, and after you boff someone in the butt you need to have a bath, just like after any other sort of sex. But, Jesus Christ on a cross, have you seen what these straight people get up to??? They should be locked up!"

I was raised as a Catholic and still consider myself one. I stopped practicing years ago...you know why? Because I couldn't stand to waste an hour of my life each week to listen to that crap.
Catholic Church is full of hypocritical people and isn't it just great to live in the one country were you can't sneeze without the Vatican seal of approval?
