Ärzte Statt Böller + New Year's trip

Not having a fast internet connection really sucks, thank God for internet cafes. So, I finally managed to upload all the pictures from my trip to Germany:

Some of the best moments from the concert, in no particular order:

During "Ich ess' Blumen", Farin went over to Bela's drumset and threw a couple of drumsticks to the audience, while Bela went to Farin's mike, took a sip of his tea and sang "Ich trink' Kamillentee..." Priceless. :D





Farin saying that now fans don't say "Ich will ein Kind von dir", but "Ich bin ein Kind von dir. XD And Bela adding he had seen a very sad banner saying "Früher: Bela, ich will ein Kind von dir. Jetzt: Bela, ich will ein Bier von dir." He then pointed at his crotch and said "Hey, it still works, damnit!" XD

The toast at midnight, with Bela and Rod drinking champagne and Farin toasting with his tea. Bela: "Prost Rod, I love you. Remember, I love you."

And of course the kiss! It was every slasher's dream come true! Even if Farin swiped his mouth with the back of his hand and made a disgusted expression afterwards. XD







Almut went home on the 1st January, while Nicole, Chris and I stayed in Cologne for another day and slept at the cheapest hostel ever. Luckily we got a 6-bed room all for ourself, as most people had already left. There were still Ärzte fans around though, even in our hostel, and it was just so nice to catch a glimpse of each other, recognising the T-shirt or scarf and just smile, it really makes you feel part of a community. I could go on and on talking about this, it was the theme of my degree thesis after all, the sense of belonging created by music.

Then on the 2nd we went back to Frankfurt and had a really funny journey by train, taking silly pictures and talking about anything that came into our mind. I walked Nicole and Chris to their hotel near the station and made my way back to the bus stop (with Nicole calling "Remember: Rod loves you!" after me :D) The bus was already full and I was afraid I would miss my flight, as the next one would leave an hour later, but since there were a lot of other people waiting, they just had two buses leaving at the same time.

I was both happy and sad: happy because I'd had the best New Year's of my life and was still excited about everything; sad because it was over and I knew I would miss everyone.

Well, that's it. God, I can't believe it's already a week ago. *sigh* I'll just go for a bit of shopping. Yay sales! :D

Aww... beautiful. :) I couldn't have you leave without saying, "Remember, Rod loves you!" It just fit the moment perfectly. I started missing you right as we stopped hugging. :(

Yes, the timing was perfect! I had such a huge grin on my face while I was walking away. Even if I was sad because I was leaving. =/

And Farin: "Bela, wir wollten dich nicht so niveaulos sein."

Thanks for the link, but Nicole already gave me it. I just downloaded the ones I like the best. And I bought the "Bäst of", while in Germany :D So I got enough to keep me entertained for now. Hehe... Thanks for the nice thought though ;D
