Yes, this means I uploaded the pictures from the concert in München. :)
So, the summer is officially over (see grey, rainy weather outside) and I can say it was the best summer I had in years. All right, I'm only referring to the first 3 weeks of September here, but it's still summer, isn't it? ;)
A little report about my trip:
I took a night train from Milan and of course it was full of Italians going to the Oktoberfest. I'm proud to say I was the only Italian who wasn't there for that reason. ^__^ I fell asleep with my mp3 player on, I had saved a bunch of different things on it, Bela's album and b-sides of course, just to make sure I remembered the lyrics, Wayne and Danny's interviews from the Tourtagebuch, some Gluecifer, some Ärzte and some other stuff. Well, I managed to sleep through The Ramones, Italian ska and electro, some U2 and then promptly woke up when Wayne's little interview started. I just love how my brain works. :P
I arrived in München around 9 am and since I had a few hours to waste I decided to have a look at this infamous Oktoberfest. I had no idea where it was, but finding it was quite easy, I just followed the people wearing Lederhosen and Dirndln :P It was, uhm, interesting. A big amusement park and Biergärten already full at 11 am, with people queueing up outside. o_O I mean, all right, it's Oktoberfest, but 11 in the MORNING, people! I bought some Magenbrot and had a walk in the center. It was cloudy, but as soon as I left the Wiesn area the clouds disappeared and the weather turned warm and sunny. :) After a touristy morning I went back to the station, changed into a clean t-shirt (changing clothes in the station toilets could become my new hobby), left my bag in a locker (it only took me 40 minutes to find a free one -__-) and went to the venue.
The tourbus arrived around 5 pm and Wayne came and talked to us, of course he commented on the Dirndl a girl was wearing, the Traumfrau from Berlin, actually. I was a bit worried 'cos Itty wasn't there and I didn't know how to get in, but it turned out we were on Trost's guestlist, so everything was fine.
I ended up in the second row center, pretty much the same spot I had for the Berlin concert. While Trost were playing I almost passed out, I started seeing white spots in front of my eyes and feeling faint, I had to crouch down to avoid losing consciousness. Luckily someone gave me some water and a sweet and I managed to resist until the end of their set, when I reached my concert-bag and ate something. I was quite scared by that point, I had pins and needles all over my hands and couldn't move my fingers. The girl in front of me asked me if I wanted to leave but I refused, I mean, I didn't spend 11 hours on a fucking night train just to be carried away before the concert even starts! Luckily I was all right by the time Los Helmstedt came out on stage and could enjoy the concert without further problems.
After the gig Bela signed autographs, I gave him my train ticket (silly, but I had nothing else he could sign and I wanted an excuse to talk to him again) and he actually remembered me, he said something like "Oh, you're back." I told him I was back for one last concert (really this time) and he gave me a hug. I could get used to being hugged by Bela. ^__^
Bela has a way of making you feel special even if you're just one of the many fans that follow him around, like, he asked me if I'm going to the Sylvester concert and I said I hope I will but I really don't know, so he told me something I really can't write right now, but it was very very nice of him and it made me feel very special. *fangirly moment*
After the concert I met Itty (sorry for my bad, bad German), we went to the station to get my bag, I gave her a Snape drawing (my little way of saying thank you, I wish I had had more time so I could have done something better) and I spent the night at her place. The next morning I had another walk in the center (I love walking around in cities I don't know) had breakfast in a lovely little cafè (cappuccino with white chocolate + walnut/banana muffin = ♥), wasted 30 minutes in an internet cafè while I was waiting for my train to leave and eventually went back to the station.
I was in a compartment with a German girl who lives in Italy and an American guy (from Miami) who lives in Monza (10 minutes from my town), it was so funny talking part in English, part in German and part in Italian. When I mentioned I wasn't in München for the Oktoberfest but for a concert the American guy asked me where I played. HAHA, no, it wasn't me playing, I was just in the audience. :P And the girl was surprised when I told her I'm Italian, she just assumed I was German since I said I was there for Bela B. and could talk German.
And when I checked my email last night I saw Farin had answered my email. The perfect end for my 3 weeks of fangirling. :D
So, that's it. Congratulations if you read it all without dying of boredom. I should do something similar for my 2 weeks in Berlin, but definitely not now, this entry is already waaay too long as it is.
