Sleepiness, music and drabbles

Meep, I'm tired. I went to donate blood this morning, so I had the day off from work, but I had to get out of bed at 7:00 am anyway. And I ended up donating platelets, which takes about an hour instead of 15 minutes (for blood) or 30 minutes (for plasma, which I usually do.) I also went to the doctor and the dentist this afternoon. So much for taking some rest...

And last night I came back late from our first rehearsal session. Yes, we finally started playing! As predicted, I messed up a few times, but it wasn't so bad in the end and I had a lot of fun. Playing in a real rehearsal room with big amps is great. But standing between the bass amp and the drum kit wasn't such a brilliant idea, my ears are still a bit sore. x_X We're playing Monday nights from 10:30 pm to 00:30, which is a bit too late for my tastes since we all have to work in the morning, but luckily the studio is only 15 minutes from my home.

Farin walked into the studio sporting his usual toothy grin. Bela almost choked on his coffee when the guitarist took off his cap.

"What the hell?"

"What?"

"Your hair!"

"What's with my hair?"

"It's... pink!"

"Magenta, to be precise."

"Looks pink to me."

"Is that a problem?"

"Well, no, I'm simply surprised. You've been dying your hair blond for so long."

Farin shrugged. "I was in the mood for a change."

An evil little smile appeared on Bela's face. "Did you dye it pink down there too?"

Farin raised an eyebrow and locked the door. "Wanna find out?"

She's everything he's ever needed. You would think it's just one of those "middle-aged rockstar meets young, pretty actress" kind of affairs. But it's not. They've got more in common than it appears at a first glance. She's got a punk attitude behind that angel face.

I've never seen him so in love. He's never been the faithful type, but he hasn't touched anyone else since they got together. Not even me.

I'm happy for him. He deserves someone who'll always be there for him, someone who can save him from himself. I understood a long time ago I couldn't.



I could even go to sleep now. Mmh, bed...
