It's a weird, weird world

What. The. Fuck. I went to Milan to buy some comics yesterday (*cough*27eurosworthofcomics*cough*) and since it was a warm and sunny day, I spent a couple of hours walking around the narrow streets of the centre, the ones that are always quiet because people only crowd the big streets full of shops. I was just behind St Ambrose's basilica when I saw a couple snogging. Well, nothing wrong with that. But then I noticed the man had his hand inside the woman's skirt. He had half of his forearm stuck into the waistband of her skirt. In the middle of the street. Well, pavement. At a quarter to 6 pm. And they didn't stop on my account. o_O
Anyway. Demi proposed to go see the Love Parade in Berlin in July (where no one would be shocked to see the aforementioned scene.) I'd love to, I've wanted to go for years, but unfortunately I can't go anywhere the first 2 weeks of July due to family reasons. I don't even know if I'll be able to go to Bela's concert in Innsbruck on the 14th. Damn. Damndamndamn. We're going to meet tomorrow evening and discuss the summer holidays, apparently no one has an idea of what to do. Except for Elena, who's spending 3 months in China.
I'll be home tomorrow and the day after (the 25th of April is a holiday in Italy), so I'll hopefully have time to write and play bass. And speaking of writing, I wrote 3 drabbles for
drabbles100 today. I still need to find a title for 2 of them, I'll post them later or tomorrow. You're sooo excited about that, aren't you? :P
PS: We didn't buy chocolate for Easter this year, but some friends gave us some today. I'm in Heaven. Chocolaaaaate...
EDIT: I bought "Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo" on DVD yesterday. I saw it in German with Italian subtitles (the German version had Italian subtitles by default) and more than once, reading them, I found myself thinking "That's not what they said." And then "OMG I understood what they've just said!" I need to be more confident. But I'm such a coward when it comes to speaking German. -__- Apart from that, our teacher couldn't really believe we would understand the film, without subtitles, in our second year of German, right?

Date: 2006-04-23 05:36 pm (UTC)Also, haha, I had to laugh about the couple because it sounds so "Italian" to me (not to suggest you would do it, but it's kind of stereotypically Italian somehow.) But that could be my weird Scandinavian-inculcated stereotypes XD (thanks mom.)

Date: 2006-04-23 07:20 pm (UTC)WHAT? Stereotypically Italian? o_O Why? Come on, we're a very Catholic country, people don't usually do stuff like that in public. Mmh, well, OK, they do, but it's usually after sunset and in their car. XD
What other Italian stereotypes did your mother tell you about? XD

Date: 2006-04-23 07:26 pm (UTC)Hehe, gotcha ;P I know you're a very Catholic country, but you know, Italians are supposed to be lovers and all that, haha.
Sorry, I realize that comment probably came off totally offensively :/
(My mother also says I should never go to Italy by myself because I will get my butt pinched XD But really, I'm making my mother sound ridiculous and she's not, I promise.)

I mean, that's not a scene you see every day, I was just wondering why you found typically Italian. :) And being a Catholic country doesn't necessarily mean people don't do certain things, just that they're good at keeping it hidden. :P

Date: 2006-04-23 07:40 pm (UTC)My mom: Italian guys pinch blonde girls' butts.
Me: I'm not blonde though.
My mom: Your hair's not black. Therefore it is blonde. Therefore you will get your butt pinched XD
Also, I saw a news story that really made me laugh once about "mammone" (is that how you spell it? I have no knowledge of Italian grammar XD) You know the guys who are like 40 and their moms still cook for them?

Date: 2006-04-23 08:49 pm (UTC)Well, I guess stereotypes contain always some true things, even though it's deformated or so. But I really thought it belonged to a "myth" rather than to the truth. ^^

Date: 2006-04-23 08:45 pm (UTC)So, so true. I've been told my hair is blond or red more than once. :P
And yes, Italian guys are mammoni! (mammone = singular, mammoni = plural) Italian mothers (including mine) think it's normal for their children to live with them until they get married and if they don't get married, they should just stay with them forever. o_O
