This may or may not be spoilerish, so if you still haven't seen the film and don't want to know anything, just skip this entry.

All right. The short version: *SQUEEEEEE!!!*

The longer version: I loved it. The lights, the scenery, the costumes, they were amazing. The Dementors were perfect, Buckbeak was wonderful and all those crows around Hagrid's hut were really nice.

Next, the characters. Lupin! Oh my God, LUPIN! David Thewlis was DIVINE. Lupin's always been one of my favourite characters, but now I love him even more. He's so sweet! >_<

And boggart-Snape! The way he leans against the wardrobe just before stepping out and the way he looks in Neville's granny's clothes, that lost and "What the hell am I supposed to do now?" expression as he looks around the classroom. Priceless. Not to mention the way he walks into the Defence classroom shutting all the windows on his way to the front.

I didn't like Draco, but that's good because I can't stand him as a character and the film version of him reflected what I actually think of him.

Dumbledore was great, serious and imposing while talking about the Dementors at the beginning, but mischievous as well. I loved how he would distract the Minister and the executioner so that they wouldn't see Harry and Hermione. "Yes, look at the mountains, pretty mountains." ^_^

And Sirius telling Snape that, once again, he didn't understand anything. I loved Snape's expression, he looked almost scared, it was as if he had gone back to being a student and Sirius was taunting him and telling him just how stupid he was.

There were things I didn't like. First and foremost: Lupin's name! Maybe it's just me, but I've always pronounced it the French way: Loo-pén and hearing "Lú-pin" throughout the film wasn't plesant. How do you English-speaking people say it?

Second: they could have explained why Lupin knew how to use the Marauder's Map. In the scene at the end when he's packing, he could have told Harry that he had created it along with Sirius, James and Peter and that James was an Animagus too and, surprise surprise, he was a stag. It would've taken 5 minutes at most. I can only hope it will be among the deleted scenes in the DVD.

Third: perhaps if Sirius had said a bit more about the "potion", it would have made more sense, since it's never mentioned in the film.

Fourth: Hermione's howling. I thought it was quite silly.

But I liked the film very, very much. And I saw it with a girl who didn't read the book, and she hadn't any problem understanding the story, so I suppose it's only us crazy fans who find faults in everything. ^_^'
