Same here. I always hope to find THE fanfic but in the end all I find are the awful ones. I'm still busier with 00Q verse than Sherlock. I might go back to some of the classics that aren't close to the plot of the show. I love the tags and search options on AO3 but there's just so much stuff there that narrowing it down doesn't always help.
I also have quite a pile of books that I should read, especially the one about fanfic. It started very well, I just have to continue.
DO IT!! I'd love to read it. :))) I haven't written myself in ages. I should start talking to my muse.
Oh, I should have asked earlier: Are you well and back on your feet again yet? :)
