Job hunting

So, I started job hunting again. I already sent a few emails while I was still in Berlin and of course I got no replies. I know this is the norm in Italy, so I decided I'm going to give them a call: I don't care if I come across as a pain in the neck, I'll just say I wanted to be sure they received my email.

Yesterday I also thought I could look for a job in Canton Ticino (the Italian part of Switzerland), because, really, anything to get away from this country. I had taken into account that some job offers would require French, since it's one of the three official Swiss languages; what I wasn't expecting was the required knowledge of Swiss German. I'm ready to learn French if I have to, but Swiss German? I have enough problems with Hochdeutsch, thank you very much.

Urgh. I hate it when you don't even get an automated reply to say that they have even got your mail. Especially when someone is usually getting paid to sit there and do nothing but reply to emails >:(

I'm sure you'll find getting a job easier this time round now that you have so much experience!

You'll find something. Funk is right, this time, it'll be easier. *crossesfingers*

Well, I did get an automated reply saying "Your message was sent correctly" for the two answers I sent directly from the site where I found the job offers, but I don't know if they were also received correctly. Another email couldn't be delivered because the mailbox was full. WTF, you put on an announce and don't even check to see if your mailbox is working correctly? As for the other emails, I simply have no idea. But, as I said, that's the standard here: you only get a reply if they find your CV interesting and want to invite you for an interview, it's very rare to get a general "Thank you for your email, we'll let you know" reply and even rarer to get a negative reply. Sometimes you don't even get a negative reply after having an interview. ¬_¬

I'll never be able to speak Swiss German without bursting out laughing in the middle of a sentence. XD

I don't think it'll be easier, it may actually be worse: I thought the job situation would get a little better in the months when I was away, but it got worse instead. But I don't care, I'll find something.
