I survived two days of intensive eating (and I'm afraid it's not over yet, we still have lots of leftovers). Well, at least today I went for a walk, hopefully that helped.

I spent a nice Christmas with my parents (the first Christmas without our cat since 1995 *sigh*) and got some nice presents. The best one is probably a little witch figurine my mother got me, which, ironically, is the "travelling witch" (she's sitting on a broom with a black cat at her side); my mother hadn't read that part on the box, but commented: "Well, that's appropriate, you're always travelling around!" And my father got me a book on vampires. Yes, my parents do know my tastes. ^_^

And here the usual end-of-the-year meme.

1. Was 2009 a good year for you?
Yes and no. The first half of the year was awful, because of work-related reasons; until I finally decided to hand in my resignation letter and move to Berlin. Since then, it's been great.

Handed in my resignation letter and moved 1000 Km away from home.

3. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I didn't really make new year's resolutions, but then I remembered my "Kulturzeit" post (that is, read more, watch films I haven't had time to watch yet etc.) and I have to say that, yes, I kept that "resolution". Could've done better, but, oh, well. Next year. ;)

47. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
[...]

mach dir keine Sorgen,
du bekommst die Chance.

Mach es wieder gut,
mach dich endlich frei,
es ist nie vorbei.

Es gibt stets ein Morgen,
also gib nie auf.
Weil auch dein Tag kommt,
freu dich schon darauf,

[...]
