Mhhm... I'd agree with Sammy, I would definitely send out wayyyy more than one WG-request. A lot of people (+/-40% in my case) won't even answer your request, others will require you to come to Berlin to meet them before giving you any kind of positive reply, a lot of people don't actually want an "international" WG (shame on them!) and just a tinyyy percentage will agree on letting you move in without having met you. ;)
Erm yeah, well, sorry to sound so negative all of a sudden. I don't mean it like that - it IS fairly easy to find a WG in Berlin. Though I would really suggest to have a look at a couple of WGs, meeting their inhabitants, before moving in. Many people put their rooms online on a very short notice, anyway. Another idea would be to maybe put a (detailed and funny, if possible XD) request online at WG-gesucht. I got quite a few answers from people willing to rent a room in their WGs out to me via that... :)
