Super quick update

I finally bought train tickets and booked a hotel in Florence. I panicked a little at first because, being the queen of procrastination that I am, I waited so long that most hotels near the centre were fully booked or only had availability for one night (I'm staying for two nights). And the ones that did have available rooms had outrageous prices. I mean, I know it's Florence, but a 2-star hotel / B&B for more than € 150 per night? Come on. In the end I found a 4-star hotel that had a super deal and cost me less than some of the above-mentioned B&Bs. I even found a deal for the return train ticket, a first-class seat cost the same as an economy seat, so I grabbed it. I'm gonna travel like a lady that weekend! XD

Tomorrow evening Almut is arriving in Milan and the day after... DÄ!!! I'm so excited I can barely function!
