I had planned to do a few things during the weekend, including catching up with the Snowflake Challenge, but I ended up not being home on Saturday and Sunday. Luckily I was home today and did manage to be somewhat productive. I'll keep the Snowflake Challenge entries short, but I want to write them down.

I must admit I don't have clear goals, but I'd like to write a sequel to "Of torches and graveyards", or at least start, and draw some fanart. I'd also LOVE to visit Japan, but that would require a lot of planning, which I can't do right now. Hopefully soon, though.

The future of fandom is somewhat nebulous. But I tend not to think about the future too much, so I really have no idea. When I first stumbled upon fandom, almost twenty (TWENTY!) years ago, I had no idea I would still be here reading, writing and drawing after all this time. In a new fandom, yes, and I've changed a few over the years, but it seems like once you're in fandom, you're always in fandom. So I think fandom will always be there. In different places and different forms, but always there.

I participated for the first time last year: I needed motivation (and a little nudge) to go back to writing and it worked, so I decided to do it again this year. It's fun and not "stressful" like a traditional writing challenge is, with not set deadlines and broad topics. I skipped a few entries, but I may go back and try to finish them later this year.
