Snowflake Challenge 2018 - Day 13
Jan. 27th, 2018 09:30 pmI've skipped Day 12 because it requires a bit more time, but I plan on going back and doing it at some point. And I'm not sure about Day 14 (is it supposed to be a challenge for myself or others?), but I think Day 13 is perfect for today, as I spent most of the afternoon drawing a caricature for a colleague who's retiring next week, something I haven't done in years. And damn, the finished drawing is not bad at all!
Day 13:
In your own space, set some goals for the coming year. They can be fannish or not, public or private. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
Be more productive. I've written and drawn less and less in the last few years, partially because I've been busy with work (and moving home last year), but also because I got lazy. But when I actually sit down and write or draw... It feels good.
So, goal # 1 is to finish that blasted Mystrade fanfic I started ages ago. I'm almost there, but I keep getting stuck, dammit.
Goal # 2 is to look for inspiration and create something, even something small, ficlets, drabbles, sketches, whatever. I want to do something new. Talking about something new, I was in a club a few weeks ago and thought it would be cool to draw a series of goth guys. And then of course I thought "Why not goth girls as well?" So, that may be a good way to go back to drawing more often. Let's see what I make of it.
