Work, work, work

I wonder how people can have 2 or more jobs and not go crazy. I officially started working this week and I'm already stressed like hell. It's mostly my fault, I didn't plan my week as I should and ended up being late with the articles for the magazine (we had quite a busy week on the news front), but I thought I would only work in the afternoon with a few extra mornings every now and then. Instead, it looks like my part-time job is quickly turning into a full-time one. Which is great for my bank account, but I'd like to have a schedule at the beginning of the week, so I can organise my work; instead, my boss tells me from day to day whether I'll have to work only in the afternoon or the whole day. Now, for example, I know I'll have to work the whole day on Monday, but I'm not sure about Tuesday. Oh, well, as long as the overtime gets paid.

But my job isn't only a cause of stress. I was checking the definition of "piercing" on the Cambridge dictionary online yesterday, to see if I could use it in a certain contest, and this was the example they gave for it:

Sherlock Holmes gave him a piercing glance.

Ha.
